Great game. Purchased 2 days ago after enjoying the demo. Already have 16 hours into it. Very fun game to just chill out to and listen to music or audio books. Easy to become powerful and just mow enemies down. Tons of achievements and progression to be made. Dev is active and responsive on the steam forums fixing bugs and updates.

I'd like to begin this review by setting your expectations straight: Hunt: Showdown is not your typical esport-style FPS. If you're stepping into this game in search of a Call of Duty or Overwatch clone, you'll likely find yourself in a world of bewilderment and probably a little fear. But that's not a bad thing.

From the second you drop into the eerie swamps of Hunt: Showdown, the game commands an entirely different approach to gameplay. Strategy, patience, and survival instincts take precedence over quick reflexes and spray-and-pray tactics.

Hunt: Showdown masterfully combines elements of PvE and PvP in a gritty, atmospheric world that drips with tension. It draws on the survival horror genre to create an environment filled with supernatural monstrosities, each more terrifying than the last. The goal is simple - track and hunt your prey while avoiding or confronting other players looking to do the same.

The game's sound design deserves a special mention - every creaking door, distant gunshot, or animalistic roar contributes to a level of immersion and anxiety that is rare to find in most other titles. Understanding and using sound as both a tool and a weapon becomes a crucial part of the experience.

Hunt: Showdown is not a game for the faint of heart. The slow burn of stalking your prey through a dark, haunted wilderness can be nerve-wracking, but it's this pacing that sets the game apart. It's not a bullet-spraying, explosion-filled adrenaline rush. Instead, it's a slow, tense creep through hostile territory, where every decision could be your last.

However, the game does have its fair share of flaws. The steep learning curve, occasional server issues, and potential for imbalances can occasionally mar the experience. The community can also be quite harsh on newcomers, and the lack of a comprehensive tutorial means that the early hours of the game can be frustrating.

But despite these shortcomings, there's a unique allure to Hunt: Showdown that makes it worth trying. It's a refreshing divergence from the traditional shooter norms, making it a memorable experience for those looking for a more methodical, horror-tinged shooter.

If you're a fan of games that require a careful, tactical approach, where every step you take could echo throughout the game world, then Hunt: Showdown might just be the game for you. It's an exquisite test of your patience, strategy, and survival instincts, wrapped in a cloak of Southern Gothic horror.

Just remember - this game is not a sprint, it's a hunt. And it's one that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Game is more terrifying than you'd think. As long as they keep working on the game, it's going to be fantastic. I can't wait to play it co-op.

Funny game for a couple hours with friends, pretty creepy alone on the first map. Second map was a lot easier to see and glitch bigfoot on and kill him.

This game will never leave EA but that doesn't mean it doesn't get updated or isn't good. It's a fantastic game, but I don't think they will ever be "done" with it, in the same way that Minecraft is never finished.

I've tried the handful of other top drone sims and as a newbie and now a pretty competent pilot, DRL sim is the most accurate feeling sim, with the most comprehensive flying tutorial. One complaint is the lack of original detailed maps. However compared to all other sims, DRL sims maps are by far superior. My second complaint is that the the beginner mode is great starting off, but once you reach intermediate in the tutorial, it absolutely sucks and is much harder than just jumping into acro/pro mode. You don't have the turning radius for the speed you are given. Even as a pretty good pilot on pro, I went back and struggled to get just 3 stars on intermediate.

Nothing super unique about the gameplay, mechanics wise. It's a pretty basic game, with mechanics and tropes we've seen before. The special thing here is the new paint/ink/design of the game. It almost gives me the feeling that playing Bioshock for the first time did, a very unique and hauntingly beautifully crafted world. Very stylized.

Good if you're playing with friends, all luck if you're not and always expect a camping or salty killer whether they win or lose and post game trash talk from them. Lobbies can be buggy, survivors get all the nerfs and killers get the fun perks, survivors do too but then killers cry and the devs don't like that so they nerf survivor perks, till the killer whining becomes tolerable.
