In one sentence Hades is probably one of my best purchases in recent memory.

Hades is an incredible game with sharp and adrenaline filed gameplay that also offers captivating interactions between the different characters that can happen mid run as well as at the hub area. It is a rogue like based on Greek mythology and that's not something you hear every day. Even thought everything is supposed to be completely random, the game and the characters seem to react as if every single action (failure and success) was part of a scripted story. This in addition to the fact that the writing and voice acting is delightful makes every encounter with a friendly or enemy character a fresh and interesting experience. Overtime you develop different relationships with each one and you begin to unravel some of the details of the story.

The main loop of the game consists of you (Zagreus) venturing out of your fathers house, trying to reach the exit of the underworld. Every time you try you will be met with various choices between different gods each one providing an assortment of powerful buffs that make every run unique. Since the combination of these buffs and the build you will end up with will always be different from the last time, you can never know how a run is going to go (and that's the beauty of the game). The game is difficult yet rewarding, relying on the basic dodge ability as a core mechanic that besides avoiding attacks provides the player with offensive opportunities. Furthermore the 6 six different weapons (that you unlock fairly early into the game) feel special and powerful and provide the player with different playstyles to choose from. The controls are crisp and slaying the vast plethora of interesting underworld entities has never felt more satisfying. The bosses will kick your ass but it never feels too unfair or hard and arguable the dialogue before every fight is worth the whole journey.

The game besides its masterful combat and characters offers so much more like : excellent world building, amazing artstyle, interior design(?????), smooth and snappy animations and last but not least a very thematic soundtrack which brings everything together.

All in all you must buy this game. BYE
