Bought this expecting copper, and I found gold

The game is well done, it has been done with talent. However, it's extremely shallow and looks like a cheap copy of Swat 4 (not cheap actually, it costs a lot and it's not even worth half it's price). The only difference that Swat 4 was great for its time and it could be considered a complete game. Ready or Not does not add or improve anything of it, and remains limited and with lack of content in an era where adding such things is not just possible but easier. Maybe a PVP mode where players could play as criminals and cops COULD save this game and make it fun. If you do one day, I would buy it. For now, I don't think it's worth it.

I know the visuals, physics and engine in general of this game were revolutionary for it's time. But this is overrated and overpraised as ♥♥♥♥. I can't understand what's all the ball sucking for this game? The story is retarded and makes no sense, somehow the combine are the strongest species in the world and conquered entire planets but somehow a beta looking guy can defeat them with an iron stick. The character design is also horrible. The gameplay is even worse, just walk from point A to point B, shoot everything in front of you and solve puzzles, yes, because that's literally what happens in real life.

This game got its reputation thanks to coomers for Gaben and Valve, because if it had to be analyzed with a cold mind it's just boring and shallow. The only good thing this game was useful for was Gmod, and the only reason to buy the expansions of HL2 is to have more props for Gmod. And Gmod isn't even that good.

You will like this if you're a nerd and love retarded stories whose gameplay could be well described as a walk through a corridor. Sad.

Most overrated videogame in the world

This game is not bad, some aspects are greatly done, especially concerning realism. But it's kinda janky and boring sometimes. I don't mind about walking too much to where the action is, but the maps can look freaking awful sometimes and absolutely devoid of life. It just can't convince me enough, I pass.

This, as you see it, is the greatest exponent of immersive sims. One of the most amazing games I ever played. The first time I played this I was a kid and it was an experience that made a before and after in my life. This still holds up even to this day.

Other than the dent/destruction system on the cars, it's the most realistic driving game ever made. I think the destruction system has to get reworked one day.

This game is like a hidden relic. I always used to play old games, but this one went under my radar for many years. It's an unique RPG with an interesting story. The magic system of this game is still novel, even to this day. In terms of lore, world-building and design (being an old game), it's closer to certain "trends" of that ambiance that were popular back in the day. Like for example names and character design. Honestly it's an amazing game.
