A cute little blend of sandbox and structured city building.

This is way too rough to recommend. It's the kind of game you can play hundreds of hours of because you see the great game inside but the whole time you're thinking why is this so janky?

I know the game has come a long way but that only raises the question - just how messed up was it before if it's still this awkward?

Executive summary:

1. UI is ugly as sin. I am a fan of ASCII games and can tolerate pain. Everything looks like a working prototype that was made by someone who wished they were working on something else.
2. Bizarre game logic. NPCs exist but any depth is only puddle deep once to enter a polycule with everyone you meet and the only thing to discuss is strange meat.
3. Lack of progression. Want to upgrade your ship? It's more of the same ♥♥♥♥ your ship has. You're never getting meaningful upgrades just more of the same stuff you already have. The spark of excitement when hitting a new derelict just isn't there.
4. Lots of strange bugs that require you to at best save and quit the game, and at worst just accept your save file is gunked.

Overall, 6/10.
Slightly worse than NEO Scavenger. Will probably improve in the future and the review score will increase.

Please hire me to be your annoying mother that tells you to do the chores. There's so many half baked or half implemented ideas that mar a game that would be brilliant.

I have finally hit my limit of bugs breaking the game. I don't have the energy to power through them anymore and I quit.

They made the battlepass currency much harder to obtain and require new PSN accounts registered to play. They later backed down on this.

just like deep rock galactic the game costs very little for the amount of fun it gives back
