I'm liking it so far, but my gosh is it hard. Coming from Dark Souls this game I feel I need to relearn combat instead of carrying over. I'll update this review as I progress

Once you reach the Sea people the learning curve doesn't stop. There are SO many new (and well done) ideas thrown at you that juggling it gets overwhelming.

I really like this game, but it is not casual.

Will you have a good time? Ya. But you'll have a better time in FC 3,4, and 5. Or, play a game with some real passion behind it instead of Ubisoft's handiwork, but I digress.

(This game babies you pretty hard. Turning off the minimap and grenade indicator makes it much more fun.)

An absolute blast with friends

When I bought this game on launch, it was AWFUL. Aside from Cyberpunk 2077, it was the worst launch experience I'd ever experienced.

I can happily say this game actually works as intended now. I have a great PC, but I tap out at high settings 1440p in most AAA games. Here I'm on everything ultra, DLSS off, and cracking 100fps on the regular, with a 80fps average.

However a studio shouldn't be praised for releasing a working game, but a quality one. And this game is fantastic. I feel like I'm watching a TV show but also playing it, it's a crazy unique experience I've never had before.

I am very happy I can play this now. But I will sadly always remember how much it sucked as a broke kid to drop money on this broken mess on launch. That really sucked. Thanks for fixing it!
