Doom Eternal is one of my favorite games of all time. I came into this with hesitation. The first couple levels the mechanics weren't clicking. I was starting to worry I didn't like it.

Keep playing! Embrace the mechanics! I had an epiphany around the 3rd or 4th level that This is a NEW Doom game! Don't expect it to be Eternal. As soon as I had that realization, I started having much more fun.

I am 8.5 hours in now and it just keeps getting more fun. Embrace the mechanics just like you had to with Eternal and you'll have a blast!

I want to like it... I just don't. I like so many things about it but just don't enjoy actually playing it.

The card system makes this game not fun.

I've played at least one game from each Armored Core era ever since the first (which is one of my favorite games of all time btw). Some of the eras were better than others with the trend absolutely heading downward.

ACIV feels like what we all imagined games in 2023 being like back with the first one came out. The scale and bad-ass-ness of the missions is really cool!

I was getting annoyed at later eras you felt TOO competent. Like... "I really never have to stop boosting??? I have these huge anime wing lasers and I'm only 4 hours into the game???" You certainly are less clunky than you were in the first game, but you don't feel overpowered. You can build ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ACs and learn from your mistakes. You can find a really good build, then find a mission where it just doesn't work. I love this!

Random rant, but that was what was in my head. In the end, this is a great game and ALSO feels like Armored Core. Well done From Software! Thank you for this game.

I love the base game. It is great, but there is also something off about it that I feel like it could have been better.

This is not true for Black Labyrinth. It feels perfect. Somehow it has even MORE incredible levels. Love love love. 🙂👍🏻

Every single person on the planet who cares about gaming should buy this and rate it positively as a giant middle finger to the predatory practices of most other AAA studios.

I think this is a decent game, but it's not for me.

The No. 1 reason why I don't like this game is because it is SLOW. You move like you are walking through molasses. The enemies do too. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the fun of the game would go up by 1000% if the speed of it was increased by 50%.

This might be related to the speed, but the skill ceiling seems low. Your build matters too much and your aim, strategy, and movement matters too little.

Developers... maybe make a character whose whole point is that he/she moves REALLY fast. Maybe... wall kicks off walls to do one of his/her special moves. I might try it again if you had a character like that. Now... I'm just bored.
