Constantly changing for the best and a pretty decent community. Multiplayer browser could use a lot of work

Extremely Deep, lots of things to do. I didn't realize how deep it was and how much there was to do till I looked at a quest guide for the first location.

Fun and challenging. Making money is tough though. You just have to find a balance.

Challenging but fun once you get the dynamics of combat.

Update after 6.0 - I can no longer recommend this game. A lot of adjustments were made to change the play style because the devs felt that people were not sticking to a Squad and were running off solo. Some of the adjustments are nice and forces people to play as a Squad. Other changes are terrible.

The biggest complaint from me is the gun play has been reworked in a terrible way. It promotes a campy style and makes it feel as if the PC has never held a rifle/gun before. Bringing up the sight is like a brief mini game in itself, you just have to wait it out and hope the target you were aiming for isn't sprinting, or you lost your chance (Or your drop on them).

I'm baffled why the devs didn't make some of these changes "options" for servers (i.e. Hardcore servers) instead of forcing everyone to move. It's not going to happen immediately but I foresee the biggest victims of these changes are going to be server owners. I'm not sure why the devs decided to target all players and, for the lack of a better term, debuff them instead of buffing the performance of people actually playing in a squad which would have had the largest impact while not completely decentralizing their own player base. They didn't force people to play as a squad over solo, they forced people to quit the game until gun play is changed.

I'm gonna get this out of the way and say this game is not for people who like to run and gun. This is not for people who like to solo mid. This game is not for people who are expecting extremely fast paced rounds. I've noticed reviews that are expecting this and they do not accurately reflect the game. They reflect what the reviewer thinks shooters should be.

This game IS for people who like team work, intense gameplay, intense firefights, and slow tactical thought out movement. This game is very fun for those who enjoy Tactical gameplay.

Recently was the free weekend and the game was half off, a friend asked me if this game was worth it (at $20). Hell yes. This game is worth 20 bucks, ♥♥♥♥, it's worth the full price. You have to have faith in a developer when you're buying an EA game at the 40 dollar price tag... and it's understandable cause that's a good amount of money for EA. I would buy the game full price again.

Pros:

- Lots of serious player and since owning it have never run into any trolls.
- Steady increase in player base, there are always tons of full servers.
- Devs are very communicative. On the forums and on Reddit, they are receptive to peoples thoughts and suggestions. They're all pretty nice aswell.
- The ingame sounds are tremendous. I have Astro A40's and with Dolby activated. It is hands down one of the best sounding games i've ever played and very immersive. I'm going to go deaf if I don't turn it down.
- All guns are unique sounding and you learn what gun belongs to which sound, which in my opinion is critical for spotting enemies.
-The graphics are awesome for the size and scale of everything going on.
- The gameplay is very fair and true to each faction.

Cons:

- I experienced bugs early on in developement but not anymore, but that is not to say it's bugless as they are always releasing updates and fixes.

- Optimization, I give the game the benefit of the doubt because it is EA but they do put out optimizations every other patch or so. I usually get around 45 FPS on high with a GTX 970 and 16 GB ram.

Very much like the original savage. It's a lot of fun and very competetive with the advanced mode. There is a slight learning curve and there is a need for balancing but that's to be expected. If you were a player of the original and are questioning whether you should buy this game or not, I would recommend you do. I can't say much for newcomers but questions on my review will be answered if you have any.

Fun when starting out. When you level up far enough you'll find the drop off, every monster above meteor is extremely overpowered and hunters are underpowered. Apparently the founders pack gave original buyers of the game some sort of advantage, not that i'm against giving stuff to consumers who originally supported the game but when you run into them when you're playing on Monster or Hunter (they will mostly play monster) it leaves a bad taste in your mouth as you get rolled 5 minutes into the game. Like I said, the game is fun for the first 2 or so hours, but anything above level 5 is skewed and unbalanced.

People keep posting negative reviews with nothing to say about the game. Unfourtunately you can't filter those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reviews. The game is fun but short. I recommend this game but buy it on discount for sure. Hopefully they'll add some free DLC to increase the number of maps otherwise I haven't had any issues at all with the game, no bugs, nothing.

Note: This game is in beta so there are still bugs, rebalancing, and other things that need to be fixed.
So if someone complains in their review that it's buggy or it needs rebalancing or something along the lines of typical beta issues, then it is probably a bad review or one you shouldn't read if you're trying to figure out if you would like it or not.

I don't write reviews about too many games, but I see that the reviews for this game are 'Mixed'. This game, for the early state that it is in, is very fun. The customization, the different weapons, the factions, armor itself, the fact that armor actually does something.

I think this game is fun as it is, and doesn't need an open world to make it better. I'm more worried that the open world feature will draw away from the fun PvP matchmaking.

Ofcourse the obligatory fact that there is purchaseable in-game currency to unlock weapons and premium months to increase xp and regular currency gain from matches. But I don't see it as pay to win as the guns you are able to buy, have their counter parts that you can unlock.

Also it's free, so why not give it a try.
