Sure, I'll throw my hat in the ring, because why not.

This whole situation is sad. Picture a game that became an absolute hit, literally everyone loves it and the devs are having a blast because their game is an unexpected mass success. Now imagine that just a few months after, where people have already sunk hundreds of hours into the game; A simple change issued by the publishers - not the developers - causes a mass exodus and review bomb approaching the history books just like War Thunder's economy changes and Overwatch 2/Counter Strike 2's outright replacement of their predecessors.

Because of the required PSN account coming out in a few days, as of the time this review is being posted, accounts will go permanently offline for any of these reasons:
- PSN accounts are disavowed in most African, Asian, and East European countries such as Russia, Singapore, and the Phillipines; The three I mentioned have especially strong playerbases spanning tens of thousands between them, and no one from those countries will be allowed to play since accounts there are automatically banned.
- Countless players dislike the idea of giving their information to Sony. A quick reminder that this is what the whole PSN account linking debacle is about in the first place, people don't want Sony to have access to their personal information.
- As if that wasn't enough, Sony has had a near-monthly data breaches, meaning that it's not just Sony getting access to personal information, but hackers too. Considering the prolific playerbase on PC, safe to say that this could be a genuine problem.
- The argument has also been made that it's literally another linked account when countless players are here on Steam. Literally over 600 thousand people have MADE REVIEWS at the time of this post, think of Ubisoft and EA and other companies requiring additional accounts to play a game you purchased here on Steam. Understandably, people are getting sick of it.
- Here's one more. The morality behind it all. The PSN collar is unnecessarily restricting, and will outright ban a sizeable portion of the playerbase. I personally know someone who will be banned just because of where they live, can't play Helldivers 2 with them anymore if this goes through. So between the absolute corporate greed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game and its community sideways over a bonfire, the sheer insecurity introduced and LITERAL OPPRESSION the update will introduce, it's no wonder that Sony's "Cracking down" attitude has caused such an overwhelming wave in hostility from the playerbase.

I was under the impression Sony's demand to have a PSN account linked had to do with server reliability, but apparently nah, it's just for data collection. The lesson is simple: Don't choke the leash on ecstatic gamers, especially when that game is very much still in its prime.

Speaking honestly, I really don't know if Helldivers II will ever recover. If Sony goes through with the PSN leash, then the game won't necessarily die, but its playerbase will be cut at minimum in half. Refunds will be going through the roof, even if Sony rescinds the PSN account requirement, the damage will have already been done to an irreparable extent. The game's future now is in question because everyone knows that they can and very well may pull another stunt like this.

I will still recommend the game, because the game itself is fun. But I cannot and will not abide in Sony's ass-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The demo is a great way for new Nekopara players to get into the story. You're left at a point where you get some satisfaction with the story at the end, as well as making the player want to come back for more.

The demo is well done, I recommend you try it before buying the games (or the OVA)

I... I...

I am emotionally challenged by this game. It's really good. But prepare for heartbreak.

I'm sorry

Insurency is the closest you'll ever want to get to the military. It's a cooperative objective-based first-person shooter, with a focus on realism.

The game itself is slow-paced. Insurgency isn't an arcade shooter like Battlefield or Call of Duty (CoD4 and later). Respawn times are long, firearms are very lethal, and the weapons are team-oriented. If you're a videogamer, and you don't have access to airsoft fields, then this is a great compromise.

There are two basic gametypes available: Player versus player, and cooperative. Both gametypes have their own gamemodes, and kinds of players backing them up. There's no campaign to speak of, but there is a solo option available.

The training level gets you oriented with how the game works. Given Insurgency's unique setup, the tutorial is a must-do for newborn players. It gets you up to snuff on how the class system works, how the weapons works, and how the different equipment and mods work. Learning how any game works is critically important, so take the time to learn how everything works. One thing I see time and time again is a sniper with the default loadout. Don't use the default sniper loadout. Ever. You don't need a suppressed M9, when that supressor can be replaced with armour, ammo, mods, or grenades.

This segways nicely into the next topic I should cover. For any videogame, the class building screen is very unusual. You don't preemptively make your classes, so you'll be making a build from scratch. The weapons you'll have access to are based off your team and class, as are your equipment. More on this later. The weapons and equipment are all tiered, based on how powerful they are. Do you remember the perk system from CoD Ghosts? It's like that, but for every weapon. For example, a burst-fire M16 is going to cost less supply points than an M249 light machinegun. You'll spawn in with 10 or 15 supply points, you may spend them as you see fit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before I go into the modding community for this game, allow me to give a short list of details that I really like about Insurgency
- Optics are tiered based off their power. A 7x scope will cost more than a 2x scope, for example.
- Various ammo types are available; Slugs, tracers, hollowpoint, and armour-piercing rounds.
- Only a few weapons can equip larger magazines (Galil, Makarov, FAL, L1A1, and M1911)
- Suppressors don't hurt your weapon's performance. They are instead balanced with a high cost.
- Many of the weapons are select-fire. You can often choose between semi and full-auto.
- There's a weight system. Even if you have spare points, your character can only hold so much.
MODS: There's a modding community in Insurgency's workshop. Want to change how your weapon looks or sounds? Want some nice camos, or a completely new model? All of these are lovely questions, and the answer is "You can change that."
The modding community is very lively. It's not full of filler dupes like Garry's mod, and there's usually an option out there for everyone. If you want to look into changing things yourself, then go right ahead. Ask questions. Do what I do for Dino D-Day.
In short, I do reccomend this game. If you're willing to take things to a slower pace, and you're willing to give up the majority of your head-up display, then you should absolutely buy this game.
