Alright boys, I am about 7 hours in right now, playing the hardest difficulty, and made it to floor 20+ so here my thoughts. Its fate for the most part, if you played the originals you know the premise.

there is a lot that doesn't work in this game, the inventory problem where you cant fish and look at inventory at the same time; moving items in your inventory is a pain because it forces you to place it perfectly in its new slot or it goes back to the original spot, forcing you to try again; if you want to change equipment, you cant just move it into the current spot if something else is equipped, you have to remove the item that's equipped and then put the new item in the slot. You can also right click instead. when you are in the dungeon, it doesn't give you a prompt that you finished a quest, so the satisfying part is gone. the towns people can give quests to the current floor that you are currently on, but if you accept it and go back to that floor in the dungeon that you already cleared, its empty and you wasted time cause you cant complete the quest. town portals randomly use between 1-4 scrolls every time you use the book to go back to town. pets cant talk to town people to sell items, so you have to move the item from your pets bag to your bag and then sell it from your bag. catching fish takes forever cause they never bite, and if they do you end up failing the catch a lot.

the positive? the graphics look fine, music is the exact same as the original, so maybe some nostalgia there. If you remove equipment that increased your stats, making you unable to wear higher stats equipment that you currently have on, they don't get removed, so there's some cheese there.

ill keep it positive but this is fairly cooked here team

edit 2: i cracked boys, this isn't it

I really enjoyed this game, and all of the achievements are really easy to get as well, no extra grinding needed. The only thing that I think should be added to the game is if you want to quickly replay a level, there should be an option to go right back in rather than going through all of the menus again

Its crazy the amount of hate this game is getting! I have finished the tutorial and about 5 or so missions after that, and this game is actually a lot of fun so far! The town building and the goblin breeding is really interesting, as well as the classes that are offered, allowing you to build different types of teams for each exploration level.

The developers have already fixed the problems that other people are complaining about as well! I think people might just be a little mad that they couldn't play the game at midnight, and had to wait a few extra hours for the game to come out!

Also, this is the developers first game on steam, and for this, they have done an amazing job! Give them a little credit.

Edit #1: There is a bug when you are editing your base where if you combine two smaller sections into one, it literally just breaks the entire base to the point where building collide into other buildings and the staircases can't be moved, and so my base looks kinda ugly now, but the game is still a lot of fun

I enjoyed playing this game, but once i had mostly everything done, there was a lot of grinding that had to do done in order to get every achievement. I think i had about 750 enemies killed by the time i had beaten the game, and had 95% of the side dungeon done while reaching max level with every minion on my team. So, if you want to sit around and grind out the rest of the achievements have fun lol!

Also, i think there are some bugs in the game. For example, if one of your minions dies and you move them at the same time, they have no more health, and they just sit there for the rest of the fight. This can be game breaking, because they still take hits, but never actually go away.
Also, you can move your minions to the enemies side, and it breaks the battle. You can no longer win the fight if you do this because the game probably thinks that your minions on their side are enemies, but you can't deal any damage to your minions, so they never die, and you never win.
(EDIT: Healer achievement might be bugged as well)

It was a fun few hours though lol!

(EDIT 2: A lot of changes have been made, and the game is perfect now! Healer is now obtainable, the bugs have been fixed, and the achievements have been lowered. I just 100% completed the main game achievements, and i can say that i would definitely buy this game again, and do it all over! I will follow these devs for any future games! Good luck!)

I love these RPG's that allow backtracking to the point where nothing is missable; so good! The tile-based movement is also really nice, but some people may not like it.

If you're worried about running out of wood, at the end of some dungeon levels, there are doors that take you to the next dungeon level. Each time you get low health, just travel back to that dungeon and use that door to get a full heal. (Example: There's a Portal at the end of one level.)

Really good game that Stegosoft has here. This game is extremely good, and the price isn't even that bad. A lot of good work went into this game, and it shows!

Hopefully Rise of the Third Power is still in development.

Personally, i did not enjoy this game. I thought that the side quests were the same throughout the game, making them feel tedious. Also, the battle system wasn't for me, but i can see other people really enjoying this part of the game.

The story of the game is really good though. I really enjoyed watching the cutscenes. They were amazing, and they were pretty similar to the actual games graphics, allowing for a good transition between the two.
