A game title cannot be more accurate to what the gameplay is like.

After 167 hours I have at last finished The Withcer 3's main story and its two DLCs: "Wild Hunt", "Hearts Of Stone", and "Blood & Wine" and it is bittersweet.

I played through this franchise in the release order. I began with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, moved over to The Witcher 2: Assassin Of Kings, and then slithered my loaded savefile over to this one. And by god it has been a great ride. If you can afford the money and the time, then I will suggest you play all three in order over playing just the 3rd one. The games choices within dialogue and action carry over and affect the next one when theyre all played on the same system. Not only that, but the story and your connection with the characters will go so much deeper. Yes the 3rd one is miles better in gameplay and graphics than the 2 first ones, [EXTREMELY MINOR SPOILER AHEAD] but at the end of "Blood & Wine" when Geralt is told he deserves a rest and looks into the camera at you and agrees hits so much more deep in your heart with those 2 extra games in your memory.

A steadily climbing line of amazement and joy. The game is certainly the best in both the franchise, and within the genres it is placed. It's The Witcher 3, you've heard of it before. Peek at the reviews, peek at the ratings. Then stop wasting your time and dive into this wonderfully and fantastic game.

A delightful insight into a small stage that could've been.
The design and story progression within this level is nice and could've been a memorable key sideplot had it been included in the base game, Half-Life 2.
As the level is designed in this cut content game I can sadly see no way it would've fit into the base game without major rework, and it's likely this reason that got it removed from the game. Nevertheless if you enjoy all the other Half-Life games and are looking for more HL content, then this little Lost Coast is a comfortable pick for you.

Couldn't pull up any weapons or climb stuff, banging a hooker fixed it.

First off: The game isn't groundbreaking. I'm not going to tell you to lower your expectations, but you should try calming them down a bit.

After 25 hours (and nowhere near finishing the story) the short explanation is that I love the game.
The longer explanation is that this truly is a CDPR title. It has the same strengths and weaknesses that The Withcer 3 had, which is starting to seem like their staple.

Basically:
Great - Story, graphics, dialogue, music, world design, mission/interactable characters
Middle - Driving, combat, stealth, weapons/clothing items, crafting, perks
Bad - NPC AI, immersive world, interactable world, freedom of customization (cars, character, house)

While the game is good right now, I pray it will be better in the future. I won't talk about bugs because I am making a sound assumption that they will be eradicated down the line. The Withcer 3 was very different at release compared to now, so I hope the same will eventually happen to CP2077.

Been playing since the B.E.T.A and had 136 hours on it before it came to Steam.
I alway enjoyed the game but was always aware of the immense problems within it.
Given the games past I'm actually shell shocked by the quality of Wastelanders and I think it's definitely worth a shot now, however you won't be blamed for maybe waiting for a sale.

7/10 It's Skyrim with guns for real this time

Let's me live out my wildest fantasy of having a loving girlfriend and earning money through self-employment.

10/10 would live a better life again

Update: Got a girlfriend, she's more similar to my in-game wife than I'd ever expect to get.

Playing this for the first time in 2019 was a fresh experience. In a world bombarded with open world 100+ hour sandbox games it was relaxing to sit down with a more linear and simpler game. Giving both a feel and atmosphere that remind me of Half-Life 2 and the old Thief games was great and I became almost nostalgic to a game I had never played before. The stealth is great and mostly realistic, the tools are simple yet interesting, and the powers were amazing and each one was useful at least once. The story, while sometimes predictable and as mentioned linear, was interesting and compelling. Overall a great and enjoyable game.

8.5/10, would like to become a rat god again.
