As a lover of old things, and a fan of Bungie era Halo, I have to say that sometimes old things aren't worth revisiting. I barely played this for 20 minutes and it gave me a headache similar to that time I tried to sit through all of Star Wars Dark Forces. Wonderful this piece of early Bungie work is accessible, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it not for me.

I LOVE this game with all my heart. I bought the deluxe edition on day one and participated in almost all the pre-release demos. Genuinely one of my favorite games of all time. But there is a serious hacking issue that seems to go away for a little bit after every new update but quickly comes back and keeps me from playing the game. Like it is just an unplayable experience for me when 85% of the time everyone in the lobby but me has played 20 cards before the match starts and all have perfect aim. It just makes me sad and close the game until another update rolls out and I think it'll be safe to que.

That aside the art style is amazing, I love how creative this team is, there is a wide range of playstyles available with all the characters and cards, and even if you're not the best at FPS games the card system can level the playing field. So this is a perfect game to play with any friend group because it is a very welcoming experience while having a high skill ceiling.
But that is with your friends. I can't recommend the average online experience for this game at the moment.
Its clear the devs care about and love the community, I love seeing the art gallery in the new update, so I just wanted to make my voice heard on this.

Most of the minigames suck and feel like filler content that makes the experience really slow and boring between the actual fun bits despite an emphasis on high speed gameplay. This makes it so that matches feel simultaneously fast and slow in that you're constantly doing nothing but everything is going really fast. The only way to change this is make a custom lobby which is pay walled, but what they don't tell you is that not only does the host need the "DLC" but everyone in the lobby needs it as well. Cash grab, ADHD mess, with a huge identity crisis.

One of the most visually stunning games I’ve ever seen, literally looks like the comic came to life. However the games mechanics lack depth and things get really repetitive fast, which are two things you don’t want to hear when talking about a rougelite.

Undertale for horny people. Fun but challenging puzzles paired with cute devilish anime girls. Short and sweet with plenty to love, plus its got a banger sound track.

You play with your friends as a bunch of dwarves mining on alien planets and fending off hordes of alien spiders. Left 4 Dead 2 plus mining. If that doesn't sound like fun to you, we can't be friends.
