I decided to see how ESO is doing after not playing it for so long. I can safely say that it is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but not as ♥♥♥♥♥♥. See if you ignore all the shoehorned modern day politics shoved into a game put 1000 years in the past of its more racist future iterations. You can actually see how this game does a few good quality of life things that most MMOs could benefit from. However it is really just reminding me how low of a bar MMOs have to hit they still ♥♥♥♥ it up.

At best it is a coop elder scrolls game to play with some friends and at worse it is a wearing the flayed skin of something it isn't.

The game is short, but aside from that the real content comes from the multiplayer and customization of your character. It is a fighting game where you pretty much build your own fighter.

Sadly for me, the main content of this game is locked away cause I'm banned which pretty much means this game has practically zero content otherwise.

This game is a literal pre 2000 era internet simulator. All these zoomers thought we were joking when we said us 90s kids had it better, now they'll know. They'll all know how right we were.

the devil may cry of pc gaming

Game has a beautiful world with an interesting story, but the gameplay being like borderland's really ♥♥♥♥♥ all over it. Ubisoft's take on destiny is a simple way to explain it, but it has more going on than that.

Everyone wants it to handle like other tom clancy games where it focuses on tactical placement, cover shooting, and lethal weapons where you don't want to get shot anywhere vital. However instead you'll find bullet sponges where headshots only act as damage multipliers and you yourself cannot afford to get sneezed on. Cover is important, but it doesn't help when the enemy can just run straight at you while you dump 3 magazines into their face using blind cover fire hoping they die before they nullify your cover and kill you in one hit.

Overall its a great game to play through the story with friends and explore the world. You may dip your toes into that darkzone, but you'll get burned by the fact that it promotes ganking and cheap cheese tactics by other players who also happen to occasionally be cheaters.

Either way just know that when you buy this game it is a COOP/MULTIPLAYER experience, you will struggle to solo the content. You are expected to have friends to help get through certain points in the story. I don't entirely recommend this game because it has a lot of problems and design flaws that don't come to light until you get further in.

There is no reason to play this game past Ramius cause she is best girl and you get her early on.

Now that another huge update has been released, this game still feels just about the same. The difference now is there is more enemy variation, the difficulty has gone up, and you have more weapons.

The core gameplay still being the same, you either scavenge or you kill bosses. You can generally do both, but it is much easier to make two characters than having one try to do it all.

As a scavenger you'll be focusing on being cost efficient and gather things quickly. You'll likely specialize in pistols, stealth, and invest in skills to reduce food/drink needs and medical needs too. Sell all the excess you don't need and make a tidy profit.

The fighter will make most of their money through missions, events, and boss slaying. They generally make great money, but they are spending the money they make as they go. Generally these guys find all the gear from boss slaying and sell it for profit. However their costs tend to be high from medical and ammo consumption.

Either way this make for an interesting market, where looters make way more money than those running around slaying bosses and doing missions.

The game has an option to run it in Solo, Lobby (8 players max), or more interestingly the "MMO" mode. MMO mode just throws you into the world with everyone else where you have hundreds of players running around doing their own thing. You can do stuff together if you choose to, but the world certainly feels more alive this way.

I won't lie to you, this game isn't a AAA production. It is an indie game made by some dude and well the updates are slow and the game is still pretty much a beta. However if you want a game to play with friends as a filler this works alright.

At first I was angry that they put chinese as a whole individual faction cause of Tencent (China) buying up 90% of their stocks. I know that things like the monk and the polearm dude would definitely have been put under the asian faction, but that would anger china for being bundled together with any other asians (especially japanese).

I was hoping for a mercenary roster with a mixed bag of middle eastern and other such elements where they could release 1 or 2 fighters for regions that wouldn't have enough for a FULL roster of their own. Aside from the chinese ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ubisoft did and that the soon to be great firewall which will delete all chinese from playing any game with online functionality, I really think all the ass kissing went to waste.

TL;DR

I'm glad chinese fighters were added so that I can digitally exterminate the yellow menace.

Game has received quite a few updates that help improve the performance as well as add quite a bit more content to the base game.

If you couldn't run the game in the past, try giving it a go now.

Also there is surprisingly a modding community for the game where people make cosmetic alterations to creating full blown custom quests and events.
