Stunning game.

The only story worth telling is the human heart in conflict with itself, and this game does so with the stand out quality of the main quests. My only gripes is that the quality of the quests can vary greatly and the combat will start to tire after the 50 hour mark.

The former I believe is a result of quests and "exploration points" added last minute to flesh the world out, but weren't developed fully. The combat in this game takes getting used to, but at some point in my play through everything just clicked and I found myself immersed in the game play- only for me to spec heavily into Signs and the Griffin Gear, which inturn made the game a cakewalk even on Death March.

A decade after it's release, the games graphics are still amazing and the world does feel "alive" in a way other open world game struggles with, and I'd recommend giving this game a try even if It isn't on discount.

Side note; It felt weird how the game more or less pushes Triss into you as the main romance option even though in book canon Geralt doesn't see her in that manner at all..?

Progression felt a bit slow, but it was fun.

I liked the atmosphere and the concept behind the story; but in execution the combat felt super un-fun due to the inconsistent hit boxes and the stamina system. I was always going into fights under leveled and i'm not sure how to level up outside of killing characters- which I was told would hurt me in the long run. Dropped the game after a while because I was looking more for a story-driven game but I had a few good hours of "fun" game play; maybe the soul borne players might pick this game up and enjoy it when its on discount.
