They told us it wouldn't be censored. They lied. They continue to lie.

You can get the original Season 1 discs off of eBay. As of this writing, it goes for around $7-$12. That way you get a physical copy, don't have to put up with censorship, aren't funding the liars who said that nothing would be censored, and you save a few bucks.

I recommend that you do.

The game was novel, but clunky. Needed a bit more work to smooth things out. Story was interesting.

Now they've shut down the multiplayer, and it doesn't look like they'll be updating the game.

You can safely pass on this one. If you're curious enough, wait for a sale; I imagine it will be on deep discount, soon enough. A shame.

>Releasing a 12-year-old game digitally for $20.
A bit expensive, but, sure, a PC port is nice.
>Slapping ♥♥♥♥♥♥' Denuvo onto it
Oh, eat ♥♥♥♥!

Persona 4 is an excellent Playstation 2 game; you can buy a physical copy for around $10. I highly recommend that you do!
Golden is better for a second playthrough than a first, maybe come back if they ever drop Denuvo.

If you're considering the Deluxe Edition for the soundtrack sampler, don't; it's in 160kbps MP3.

This Origin integration has to be one of the most braindead DRM schemes ever foisted upon Steam users. Crashes constantly. Origin disconnects and falls back to offline mode, disabling cloud saves. Running the Origin client is required, and eats up more than 400 MB of RAM, on top of Steam and the game itself. Nothing quite matches the experience of having Steam and Origin's overlays battle for dominance while you fail to connect to the Dragon Keep servers for the fifth time, after the game has crashed for the tenth.

Waiting for Soph
Waiting for Soph
Waiting for Soph
Player has disconnected

Wait for Soph to help you open a door.
Wait for Soph to help you open a crate.
Wait for Soph to help you open a different kind of door.

Make it to the first boss by queuing with someone who made it past that last door with a different player.
Get the boss' health to 0.

The boss can't be killed until he runs outside, where you're meant to push him into a jet turbine. Except, he's not running outside. His legs are stuck inside of a piece of scenery. He has no health, but can't be killed. You don't know any of this.
You and your teammate unload all of your ammo from each of your weapons, one at a time. He's still swearing at you in German, and firing lasers out of his helmet. Even with an empty health bar, he is not dead. You and your teammate are confused and bored, and so you begin slicing at each other with your knives.
There is no friendly fire, and so nothing happens to either of you.
You eventually begin to throw yourself into the boss' easily-dodged laser blasts. After three, you die. You do this repeatedly, so that the level may restart.

You fight the boss again. This time he runs outside, and you push him into a jet turbine. He explodes.

The next level loads, and you wait for Soph to help you open a crate.
Your teammate disconnects.

You file for a return with Steam Support.

TL;DR: Fun as it may sound, Ugly Girl Power Simulator 2019 just isn't a good time.

10/10, most effective Chinese money laundering scheme.

Game's pretty great, too.

The worst version of Groove Coaster.

Port issues make any difficulty level above the most easy nigh-unplayable for many songs.
Stick inputs count as button presses, for some reason, and that destroys timing of directional inputs on most songs. The loading screen tips explicitly state that directional inputs DO NOT count as button presses, but in this version, that isn't true.
Feedback sounds play automatically, whether you hit or miss the note, which is a design choice I can't imagine a real human being making.
Input lag is an issue for some people, but I don't have a reliable way to measure this in-game because the feedback sound plays whether I'm actually hitting the note or not.

Even ignoring all of that, the music selection in the Steam version is the smallest of any version. Why?

If you've watched the trailer, you've already experienced the best parts of this game.

Pretty pixel art aside, there isn't much at all to see or "experience" here. Story is minimalist to the degree that it may not exist in the first place, and the soundtrack has an emotional range spanning from "Sleepy and kind of pleasant" all the way out to "Sleepy and kind of unpleasant".

The interactivity present in this game involves the player clicking on one side of the screen, sending the protagonist on a five-second scroll to the center of the screen; clicking the intended end of the screen again, causing the protagonist to make the five-second trek to the far end of the screen; and then, once the ten-seconds-and-change journey is completed, clicking the screen once more to make the protagonist walk out of the current screen, and into the next one, where the experience may be repeated.

There are somewhere around twenty screens in this game, and you'll be walking to and from each one multiple times to cause the story to progress.

In a game with a compelling, emotional story, this would be a big enough drawback to make me hesitate in recommending the game to anyone else, even if I were personally able to look past the glaring flaw. This game does not have a compelling story. What this game has fits the definition of "story" in only the word's most technical sense.

Space ship crash lands. Protagonist walks. Protagonist sees, but does not interact with, robot-people. Protagonist walks into a room. Room lights up. Protagonist walks into many rooms which light up. Protagonist's supply of oxygen runs low. Protagonist walks into a new, glowy room. Protagonist becomes a robot.

This is the story as it is presented to the player. There is no dialogue, no interaction between characters, and no action taken by any character. Protagonist walks to places, and things in the environment just sort of happen.

Animations for every character in the game consist of "Walk" and "Breathe". One robot walks into a lake, and it's the most interesting thing anyone does in the game. That is not an exaggeration, as no one else does anything but walk and breathe.

Some journo mentioned Kubrick in a review for this game, and I feel ill.

Bethesda's continual failed attempts to profit off of fan projects is probably the most entertaining thing about this game.

Not even mods could save this watered-down nonsense.

Bring back Obsidian.
