What a fantastic game. Finally a skill based cod. Don't listen to the haters. Sure there is aim assist, campers, but you can still have loads of fun, the movement system is incredibly smooth. To be honest the sliding is one of the best mechanics since bo3. Love it! Seriously, it's incredibly fun to slide around like a professional figure skater while shutting down your opponents.

PS: If you complain about people sitting in corners, you should maybe try an OBJECTCTIVE based mode such as hardpoint, instead of TDM...

Call of Duty

You can no longer start MW2 directly. Activision had the great idea to hide MW2 in an extra launcher. In order to start MW2 now, you have to boot into "Call of Duty", and then select MW2 somewhere at the bottom, which then needs another minute to boot up. What a huge waste of time. 😒

The deck is a rock solid device, once you install windows on it. Steam "SD Card Bricker" OS is obviously not the best choice, while linux is an even poorer choice for pc gaming.

If you like messing around with complex 3rd party programs, which are required to get the most basic tasks going, like starting non-steam games, then stick with linux on your deck. However, if you just want to play and not waste your time with unnecessarily complex technical workaround nonsense, do yourself a favor and install the #1 operating system: Windows.

Be smart, install windows. Don't let the cultists fool you. 👍

The story is confusing, the gameplay is boring and repetitive. There are no gameplay mechanics. Run around on a map which looks the same in each area, kill enemies, rinse and repeat. It feels more like a demonstration of destruction features in a game engine, rather than a game. 2/10.

The movement speed is super slow, the ttk way too fast. This is yet another camper simulator catering to noobs.

Unbiased and Non-Nostalgic Der Eisendrache Zombies Map Review
An unchallenged masterpiece. This map is the Apex of Call of Duty Zombies. An amazing map for everyone, as it offers rich mechanics and lots of fun things to do. Nope, I'm not talking about "collect this and that, fill some zombie souls, then rinse & repeat" sort of stuff. More about that down below.

Top 5 Reasons why DE is (by far) The Best Map Of All Time
  • Map Design. Brilliant architecture. Perfect sweetspot between a detailed, but not too complicated map.
  • Thrilling Atmosphere. Outstanding setting, which takes place in a medieval castle with beautiful visuals.
  • Bows. The core of the map. Acquire a bow, complete unique challenges to upgrade 4 powerful elemental bows.
  • Easter Egg. Legendary EE Mission, with an easy set up, leading to the best boss fight in the genre.
  • Infinite Replay Value. The implementation of versatile mechanics makes playing this map endless fun.

Der Eisendrache has everything zombies player have ever dreamed about. Grab a bow, upgrade it, do some challenges, build a special weapon... It is so much different from the oldschool "hey lemme run in circles for hours against a predictable AI", but in a truly positive way. The great setting and stunning map design is one thing, but what really brings this map to life is the incredible gameplay.

Completing the easter egg on this map may very well be the most fun activity in our modern era. My tip: Play with some people, that multiplies the fun for everyone.

But... I just wanna pack-a-punch my guns and slay some zombies? Go ahead. This map gives the players a lot of freedom and doesn't force one into any particular playstyle. Even after all these years, Der Eisendrache is still revolutionary masterpiece. It is the ultimate zombies experience, and it doesn't get any better than that.

Lemme say this straight: The 'gameplay' is plain, there's nothing to do or any objective other than endlessly driving around. Brainless, but fun when you're going for the achievements.

The physics are a bit bogus, but drifting into curves feels satisfying. All I can say for the 90 min achievement - time was flying!

The game shines with its beautiful atmosphere, I love its minimal neon art style. After playing for a while, these neon retro vibes hit me so hard, it almost made me want to reinstall cyberpunk.

The Multiplayer is hardly playable due to cheaters. Unfortunately it is not enough for certain players to just run around with wallhacks or an aimbot. No - they also have to crash your game with their cheats. If you're a decent player, prepare to get your game closed.

That won't change my review though. BO3 is an exceptional game, a fast paced, arena like run-and-gun shooter, with the highest skill gap in the series. The fancy "wallrunning and jumping" is entirely optional. You can be the best player and beat everyone by playing like a sloth, or creeping around like a cs player. Always sad to see people badmouthing about that part of the game, but yeah, usually they're just bad.

BO3 is a timeless and unique shooter. Forget a second about cliches such as "futuristic setting", "advanced warfare", "loot boxes", "game for 9yo kids" etc... and put the raw facts on the table:
  • Rock solid Map Design
  • Fast paced Head to Head combat
  • Incredible game flow
  • High Risk, High Reward instead of Camp Hard, High Reward
What I love about BO3 is that it's a game for everyone. You can hop in, learn the game within a minute and have fun right away. Well, it goes on from there on. BO3 adds a whole new dimension to playing skill based fps games. There is simply no other game that is so casual and beginner friendly, while being the perfect playground for cracked gfuel gamers or no lifers like my humble self.

The core gameplay intrinsics are so incredibly well balanced like. in. no. other. game. Sure, there may be OP weapons and n00b mechanics, but remember, you can always outclass anyone with your skill. Play smart, play fast, and watch people cry.
