Fantastic game with a story that really utilizes the Indiana Jones IP fantastically well. Amazing voice acting, great environments, and actual fun exploration that routinely rewards you for curiosity.

Would highly recommend, easily one of my favorite games of 2024.

Well worth the price. Considering how loved the original game itself was, it only felt fair to give back to the devs of the game a little bit. In addition to the base game it also features new side stories that are completely separate from the base game. These side stories are fantastic and in my eyes easily make the game well worth its $15 price tag. Highly recommend this game to anyone who has never played a visual novel before as this is a great introduction to the medium while also not being too heavy to overwhelm first timers.

Graphically, the most amazing game yet and feels truly next gen. Utilizes Ray tracing tech to be truly visually amazing looking game. However, the RTX settings come at the highest cost of having what most people consider is a playable framerate... unless you use DLSS that is. DLSS is also very impressive in this game allowing for playable framerates to be in reach even with all the ray tracing settings maxed out. Normal FPS might be 14 - 20 where as DLSS on AUTO will bump that up to 45 - 60 fps range. This may seem like a major shock but it is perfectly playable for most and if you're focusing on the actual game I doubt you'll ever notice. This game really manages to show off all Nvidia's bells and whistles rather nicely and really feels like it'll be a key selling point for Nvidia's 3000 series (even more than it already was). (please note, this was played on a "3k" ultrawide monitor)

Don't want to comment on story but so far so good. Very interested in all of the characters and I'm being kept very interested in everything that is happening.

Highly recommended.

So after all these years it's finally here. And what can I say except. Wow. I just beat the game. The emotions are still there. This game was an incredible journey. You don't need to decide whether you buy it or not you BUY IT. If you have a VR headset this IS the premium game you've been waiting for. If you're like me and are a VR Early Adopter and were waiting for something groundbreaking. THIS IS IT. Finally a AAA VR game that lives up to the hype and then some. I can't believe they've done it.

Valve is Back. Half-Life is back.

I've only played dota for a short amount of time but I'm pretty sure I know how the game goes. You have good patches, bad patches. Broken ♥♥♥♥, broken bugs. But every patch introduces a new way to play and a new meta to try which only makes the game ever changing and ever the more fun.

2022 - Still good.

As others state, you currently can't play if you have Vive HMD + Index Controllers. The game refuses to acknowledge that you would ever use anything other than the beautiful Vivewands. I find it incredibly concerning that apparently no one on the dev team had thought "hEey guys! what if someone used Vive with the Index Controllers!!". I am convinced someone forgot to ship the file that says "OH ♥♥♥♥ You using Index Controllers!!".

Despite this major annoyance, I painfully switched to my Vivewands to try them out annnddd... it's not terrible. Having to hold a controller in my hand feels so garbage after playing with the Index Controllers for so long but this isnt a review for that. The game itself LOOKS beautiful and parts of the game can give you a genuine "Creepy" feeling which really make it feel like a Walking Dead esc game. Haven't played the game for too long at this point but can easily see I'm going to go over the 2hr mark on it so I'll wait to decide whether I actually consider it a buy but so far so good.

Updating my review since the issues I was having have been fixed now and I've had a lot more time to play and enjoy the game. (Index Controller not working with Vive HMD has been fixed. Devs have stated they are planning to patch in Physically Crouching as you currently have to crouch with a button. Props to them for listening to community feedback)

The game is sort of a slow burn. The beginning starts off relatively easy, not too many dead walking around, you're just going about your day trying to progress the story... but as the days continue you get a LOT more zombies walking around... and your ammo starts to get a little lower than you'd like and your weapons are pretty piss poor so you're starting to get a little worried and... The game really makes you start to worry about the zombies OVER TIME. Not right away, but certainly as the game progresses do these creatures start to become a real issue. Story is pretty OK. Ignore the story and pay attention to the levels and the care thats been taken to make this world. I can easily recommend this game for $40 and if you find it for less, 100% pick it up it is a killer game for you to play as you wait for Half-Life: Alyx or if Boneworks isnt tiding you over enough.

Small Note: Game started me off with an absurd amount of "Comfort settings" where it felt like 50% of my screen was black to help with motion sickness. I appreciate these types of options but I promptly turned them down. I think 5 - 10% is a pretty good level for seasoned VR players.

Is Boneworks a good game? Sure. Is Boneworks INFURIATING as hell? Absolutely.

Boneworks prides itself on its advanced physics engine and shows it off every chance it gets. Phys Puzzles are the most common element to even out the pace of the game and to act as a lull between combat. Unfortunately Boneworks has a terrible problem with its physics.

The player's HANDS, as you might imagine, are physical things in the world of this game. You have a great realm of freedom in how you interact with every single object in the game because everything WILL react and because of this some problems do occur. A little more details here, while your hands are physical your "arms" are most certainly NOT. The game obviously cannot know at all times where your arms are or what angle you have them at so it of course guesses. It is from this guessing that every single problem occurs.

There's not a real easy way to describe it but your hands just get stuck. You're trying to climb up a platform and you're hanging on for dear life and you go to grip with your opposite hand annndd... you dont see it? Where is it? Oh... it's stuck... it's caught between the wall and one of the rings of a ladder... How?? IDK beats me but its stuck. Can you unstuck it? Sure! Is it stupid to get out? Of course. The hand will spasm the crap out as it tries to get where your controller is all the while you're just hoping that you dont screw something else up and fall a thousand feet and ruin all effort you put in to climbing. There comes a point in time where you've played the game almost all the way through. You've realized that these problems are a thing you have to deal with and so you try to stay calm when they happen. But the fact of the matter is that sometimes when this problem occurs it is at a point where you are invested in the game and when it happens it COMPLETELY removes you from the game and causes a small amount of rage as it happens more and more. I honestly think your hands are the worst part about this game.... that being said there is still a lot this game does RIGHT.

Again, despite the hands being a problem ,the physics engine is incredible! You feel the weight of every action you do and every gun feels good to fire. Gunplay feels natural. The combat isn't too difficult but it remains fun. Puzzles offer a nice break between combat although they're sometimes annoying to deal with and come at times when you'd rather not care.

I experienced 0 crashes during this game. And virtually no performance issues except in one location near the end of the game (R9 3900x, GTX 1080, 16GB 3200, SSD). I cant think of anything more so I'll wrap this review up.

IS BONEWORKS FUN?... YES... IS BONEWORKS ANNOYING?... YES...

Everything boils down to full body physics being an absolute ass to deal with. Your hands should never get in the way of how you play the game. You, when you move through the Virtual space, are interacting with the space as you would if you were really there AND YET your virtual hands are not following suit. Your mind has told you that your action is correct but the game has said "not so fast" and while not a deal breaker it is very annoying.

I will recommend this game but hope in the future we can stray away from such intense full body physics.

Beta Review

A pretty fun card game overall but it has some pretty hit or miss aspects with RNG.

So to start off you have 5 heroes, 3 that are deployed on round 1, and another 2 which are deployed on rounds 2 and 3 respectively. The problems lie in the fact that:

1. Hero spawns are completely random. You do not get to choose which lanes your heroes go to(for the first round). You DO get to choose who you send out first but the lack of hero control at start can make or break a game but this can be a nonfactor if you plan ahead.
2. Creep spawns are completely random. You dont want to send two creeps to the mid lane leaving your hero top to die? TOO BAD! The hero spawns could be completely ignored if creep spawns weren't so ass at times and a lot of times if your card is not tanky enough (that is at least 7 hp or at least 1 armor at the start) your hero will die on round 1 and the lane will be a very hard battle to win. Red heroes will always have the advantage in the early rounds because they're the only ones that can survive Round 1 almost everytime. This is not to say there is anything wrong with this, the pros of a Red deck are how strong you are early and the cons of other colored decks are how weak your heroes usually end up being, this all just really goes back to Creep Spawns and not being able to protect your heroes because you were given no creeps bot for your Drow vs an Axe.

This was a major complaint among some of my friends when playing the game along with creeps drawing random aggro from 3 units one turn which can make or break a victory (again, ♥♥♥♥ spawns causing ♥♥♥♥ aggro causing an infuriating situation where you either have the cards you need to change the aggro or have just been royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by RNGesus himself.)

The game itself has no insentivizers for you to keep playing it. There is no big reward for winning games outside of Expert Play, no ranked mode, no real goal. I don't see any reason for people to keep playing. Heck, the only reason I keep playing it is that it is a nice pass time for waiting on friends to play Dota with, or taking a short break from Dota. Addiotionally, it is nice that I can play this on my laptop so I have something to do for fun during some off time between classes.

The game felt pretty fun during the beta, trying out various new decks and strageties is always a fun thing for me but when I'm met with the same Axe, Ursa, PA, with the occasional Drow Ranger, strat I can't help but feel like the meta is already stale. With all that said, I hope that the Game Launch will revitlize the meta and bring in more things like silly builds and more hero picks outside of the current and because of that I am hopeful for the games future, especially with Valve at the helm, and am very optimistic about this games future.

Don't buy this game. Don't think about buying this game.

Hunt Down The Mememan is a mod. Not a game. The level design in this game is so good that it forces you to explore the area around you. Need a hint on where to go? This DOES NOT SHOW YOU THAT. God help you if you want to actually play the game too because all the cutscenes that were supposed to be in this game are MISSING COMPLETELY FROM THE GAME. How does this happen??? This game was delayed not once or twice but 4 (5?) times!!!??? I will now go through the wonderful experience of explaining all the great amazing issues with this game. (The following is a series of random tangents)

I was FORCED to use noclip on numerous occasions to get out of random stuck spots (2 of which were done on loading into the map), enemy AI is just copied from the Combine AI (as exhibited by the fact that walking up to them with the "crowbar" causes them to malfunction and lose all comprehension on wtf they're supposed to be doing) but for some reason it seems EVEN WORSE (Maybe it's related to the NODE GRAPH OUT OF DATE REBUILDING I got on almost every map after the Prologue)

After being promised amazing quality... I can't say I'm that surprised that this turned out the way it did. The project seemed to have started alright but I feel like the developers got too ambitious and the result is this mess.

The Level Design in this game has me feeling very sad. That's the only feeling I get from. Certain areas of the game cannot be solved without using Noclip to fly through areas be it because the game is broken like that OR it is IMPOSSIBLE to figure out how the developers intended for you to complete the level. As someone who does level design, I can't help but be angry at the inability for this team's level designers in leading the players to the proper areas. Simply looking at Half-Life 2 can show you how to properly lead a player along without being too hand-holdy and would've helped this game IMMENSELY!

Sound settings restart everytime the game does. I learned this the hard way when my game crashed running into Claymore and was greated with a new autosave where I die to an EARSPASMING EXPLOSION every 2 seconds.

Weapons... uhhh well like I said half way through my playthrough I was forced to start cheating so I just started using impulse 101 to get all the guns. I cant say I really "experienced" the weapons here by doing this but being able to use the AWP really helped my experience playing it.

Cutscenes... NOPE. Can't see'um. FeelsBadMan, maybe some day I'll be able to figure out why my character is teleporting from one place to another after a long black screen of nothingness.

Materials! I'm not gonna stay on this long. You look hard enough and you'll find Half-Life 2 textures that scattered throughout (some just redone with a bumpmap to make them look nicer) Models from L4D2, HL2, and other source games are here. It's a mod right so it's fine but when it's advertised as a standalone game... I really don't think this is that acceptable.

Sounds!!!! Let's not talk about them. Why? Idk I couldnt hear any music if it had any (I adjusted the volume at the start based on the main menu music but then readjusted after I couldnt hear ANYTHING in the game only to discover it didnt have any?).

I give up. Just don't buy it. Don't waste money buying this game in its current state... ACTUALLY dont buy this game in any state. There is a series problem with the lack of communication between the developer and the community during the delay period.

*I have refunded this game, thank god for Steam Support.

Don't Buy it.

Do not buy it.

DO.
NOT.
BUY.
THIS.
GAME.

If you want to play a real dumpster fire go play Revelations 2012 for free here on Steam
