Mugen Souls is a game so Japanese it's almost bordering on parody, and I'm loving every second of it! From the screen-sized chapter names to the ridiculous character design to the item flavour text, this is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously. But under the surface lies a surprisingly deep RPG with lots of room for customization. Skills can be transferred between characters, and you have no less than three different currencies to balance between all the cool stuff you can purchase such as levelling up your gear instead of buying new items, getting extra equipment slots to bolster your stats, or just get a set of matching goth clothes for your party.

If you're into number crunching and can spend 30 minutes in the menu optimizing your party, this is a must play that will feel really rewarding once you get into the intricacies of the gameplay.
