An actual experience of a game that has forever changed me

This game is perfect if you love slamming your head into the wall, but no game makes you as excited to see a blue rarity item as this game does.

The TikTok version of Dark and Darker.

Shadow of the Erdtree is very close to a very perfect DLC.
All the people who have written negative reviews for the poor performance are warranted because the DLC does have some parts that performance drops like crazy.
As for the difficulty, yes this DLC is very very hard but it is not too difficult that it's impossible. Not even close, there is so much in this DLC that lowers the difficulty and makes it easier for people to enjoy. The people who are writing negative reviews solely about the difficulty are people who are just playing under arbitrary challenges they put on themselves that they aren't capable of doing and are blaming the game.
9/10 DLC is amazing.

honestly the cabal really be like that toy you throw under your bed when youre about 13 years old and your mom gets mad at you for losing that toy so you have to go and mow the lawn so that she forgives you and then makes you tell your dad about what happened and he sits you down for a talk and says "son you shouldnt mow the lawn like that you need to go in lines back and forth creating patterns in the lawn sop the home owners dont get mad at us for having a subpar laww,."

Now that I've beaten Elden Ring and have sunk almost 70-80 hours into this game I can without a doubt say it is the single greatest game I've ever played. Everything about the game is so masterfully done and it's kind blowing that this game exists. Im going to split this review into multiple sections so I can talk about each individually

OPEN WORLD/EXPLORATION:
this is fromsoft's real first time dipping their toes into the open world genre. It was scary at first because I didn't want to play yet another dead open world game with empty areas that felt unfulfilling to explore. Thankfully fromsoft has somehow mastered the open world in Elden Ring and I couldn't be happier. I have played for 70-80 hours now and I still think I'm missing some areas within the open world. The greatest part is that nowhere in this game did it feel empty or unalive. Every single place you explore is full of things to do and rewards to find. I have yet to feel bored running around on torrent exploring dungeons and finding random world bosses scattered about. There is just too much to do in this game, and that is not a complaint by any means

COMBAT:
The combat from all previous Soulsborne games is present within Elden Ring yet it has evolved into an even more complex form. The weapon arts systen in this game is so great and adds so much variety to the game that there is literally something for everyone to enjoy.

DIFFICULTY:
The difficulty within Elden Ring is a widely heated discussion with a lot of people complaining on Twitter about how difficult the game is and how it needs to be more accessible for new players. I personally would have no issue with them adding a difficulty meter because I can just not use it. It's that simple. Speaking deeper about the difficulty of the game at hand. If you are a new player and are just going through the games main route and doing the major bosses, Elden Ring is no more difficult than previous fromsoft games. Now the game does have an extreme amount of optional content, areas, and bosses to find. It's with these optional areas that the game's difficulty skyrockets and starts to enter the "unfair" territory. For background I have beaten aver soulsborne/sekrio many many times, but Elden Rings optional areas and bosses are by far some of the hardest pieces of content ever. If you are a new player and somehow wander into these areas? Good luck. But for veteran players who love the difficulty of fromsoft games, you will absolutely love these areas.


PERFORMANCE:
Finally we can talk about the one and only flaw of this game, it's performance. It hurts me so much to say this but there performance of Elden Ring is extremely horrid for some people. Personally I have had no issues and the game runs perfectly but I have friends who have been soft locked due to the game crashing and I've read a ton of reviews from people who can't enjoy the game because of it's performance. Thankfully fromsoft has already begun fixing these issues and it is becoming less of an issue.

CONCLUSION:
Elden Ring is a masterpiece of a game and a new landmark for how games should be handled. While I understand that this game is not for everyone I think that if this game even looks slightly interesting to you you should give it a shot and you will not regret it.

This game while a little bit short for the $60 was amazing. It is a must play for any Resident evil fan.
