The devs know how to make the most addictive storybooks I've played in my life.

Dude wasn't kidding, this free sample hits hard.
It's really nice, the gameplay loops addictive. For early access it's kind of hard to believe.

My main 2 complaints are how dumb the workers you hire are, due to just poor AI which I assume is on the priority list to fix.
And the cops seeming to be kind of hard to lose? It's complicated, the curfew feels oddly goofy since you're the only one that has to obey it seemingly.

Biggest thing I'm hoping for in the future? Personally I'd like to be able to run fake business fronts, on top of just setting up shop in the empty buildings of em. Like running a restaurant to avoid suspicions while the homies cook in the back type stuff.

Looking forward to what else the dev does in the future with this title.

Yeah it's a pretty good horror game. No jumpscares, it does get a tad more annoying than I'd like to admit toward the end but that's a small quibble in something so short.

Yeah it's pure crack with a deceptively large amount of depth.

Early Access Review
This is a weird game. And that alone is probably enough to recommend it.
I have to emphasize this, you are going to be hard pressed to find anything NEARLY as complete as this in terms of what it is. It literally is just you trying to build a car as the only goal assigned to you, the rest of the world is your oyster.

The early access tag is a bit, uncertain to me for this. I can't tell what actually is just a bug that needs ironing out or an engine screw-up that has to be intentionally ignored. A lot of this game is fun, there's something zen about building a car, only for it to catch on fire and you having to go on a journey to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and resuscitate it.

The only thing I could really complain about is the jail mechanic, which is not the most thought out. If you end up with a sentence longer than 2 days your game is effectively softlocked unless you load it back or paid a convenient visit to Grandma before hand and chugged 300 cups of coffee to raise fatigue faster. 1 day in jail = 2 hours in real life, so if you get rammed by a rally car and happen to land on one guy and get thrown in jail for 10 days, congrats you're in hell. I get it exists as a form of punishment for being a bad guy, but when a mechanic is so tedious that it forces everyone to mod the game then I feel it might need re-evaluating.

That being said, I got no idea if this game will ever actually get out of early-access. Supposedly My Winter Car is in development and I look forward to it.

Terraria is a great game, but the devs went the way of the special needs victims and for some reason removed Gender as a thing? It's hard to care normally since your characters under 200 layers of armor anyway, but the principle is what matters. I'm tired of every indie game dev going woke and insane from an imaginary 'modern' audience.

I'd say I'll never buy another RE:Logic game again, but they'll probably never MAKE another game so that caveat is awkward there. I probably won't ever give another copy of Terraria to any of my homies, I'm just tired of everything having some agenda. There are only 2 genders, and if you're so scared of being slandered for just saying boy/girl, then I don't get how you can exist on ANY Plane of existence we call reality. You guys already got the bag, you've had this one game making infinite money for the decade since it came out. There just legitimately is no excuse, you existed BEFORE the problem, but you couldn't stand strong after it came into existence says a lot more than anything.

Update 8/23: As of posting this review I have received 7 friend requests and 21 profile comments, out of the 3 FRs of which I accepted all of them were just spam of p*rn or a combo chain string of insults longer than a cvs receipt. I don't care if you disagree with me and my views, but I would be remiss if I didn't point out the irony in this. People claim that this whole gender thing is irrelevant, and that we are just overreacting. Yet they're out manhunting people, I'm probably on a list just for leaving a negative review on this topic. I do not apologize for it, this update was made for the sake of logging more or less.

Great game, just not a whole lot of reason to play it online anymore?
The servers 90% of the time are being DDOS'd now, versus is the most toxic thing in the world, but 8/10 times you wind up in an XPMOD server, even if you have official only selected.

The games great, fun to play custom maps with the homies. But the online? Forget about it. Funnily enough this is another example of Valve having the longterm maintenance capabilities of a seal in an oil bath...

It's a pretty great fun game. I advise caution if you own a Steam Deck though, the game tends to start chugging later on the bigger the world gets yknow?

Yeah it's fun, learning curve isn't that bad to me, at least when compared to the devs other series Dominion.
