Metro Last Light is a really great sequel that just took everything Metro 2033 did well and continued building upon it. It is, for the most part, the same game but with a continuation of the story from 2033, which is not a bad thing at all. If you liked Metro 2033, you're certain to enjoy this one as well, and best of all, there are no librarians this time around, but more spiders unfortunately.
The story managed to pull me in even more than the first game, and killing nazis and commies continues to be greatly satisfying. The stealth is slightly improved, and you are given more options and opportunities to take the stealthy approach if you wish to. The plot continues after the bad ending from 2033, which made me feel less bad about failing to get the good ending. This time around, that's not as tedious, and doing the right things to garner morality points is somewhat more intuitive.
I didn't encounter any sort of bugs or glitches except for once, somehow managing to get out of the map's boundaries and fall off it in a DLC level, but it's pretty unlikely for that to happen if you play normally. The achievements are also much more gratifying to earn without all the tedious and annoying from 2033. Excited to get on to Exodus next.

Pretty decent detective/walking sim game. The story is compelling, and I can't say that I saw the ending coming. While the main story holds its own, the side mini-stories you uncover through collectibles, especially the Ghost Stories which I highly recommend you take the time to uncover all of, were the true gems, in my opinion. The premise is interesting, as you have to solve your case as a ghost, not being able to interact with the real world. You can also aid a few others in solving their mysterious death or unresolved matters. For just these two, I think the game is worth giving a try. However, other than that, the game doesn't have much else to offer.

The game feels pretty dated, unfortunately. The mechanics, few as they may be, can be very clunky at times, from slight annoyances when trying to get some collectible and the indicator not showing up as it should to unresponsive buttons. While in the menu, don't even bother trying to use your mouse to navigate, it's almost impossible, stick to the arrow keys and enter. None of it is that bad, though, as you get used to the small things quickly and the bigger issues aren't all that often. Also, on the technical side, something that bothered me was that the V-sync would lock your frames to 30 no matter your refresh rate, which is pretty weird, and there is no additional frame limit setting, so it's probably best not to use it unless you have bad screen tearing.

The achievements are pretty simple and straightforward, but most rely on collectibles, of which there are plenty scattered everywhere, some might even be missable and without a map or anything to make finding the ones you've missed easier. That said, you will find most of them just running around looking for them, and you can track them all in the journal and use a guide to find specific ones you've missed. I highly recommend using a checklist for each area and not going to the next one until you've got everything.

Pros: Great game, good story, gameplay and graphics hold up pretty well even now.
Con: It does an awful job of encouraging me to read the novel because there is no way in hell I'm ever stepping foot in a library again after this.

It's recommendable if you like point-and-clickers and don't mind a quite linear game (when it comes to gameplay) with a lot of reading. It can be boring if you just go into it expecting much else. The art is really nice, the story is interesting, but told in a non-linear way, so it might be really confusing for the first third or half of the game, and the ending is, or at least to me, it was, quite predictable, that's not to say that it was bad in any way though. The writing is pretty good, unfortunately, your dialogue options don't have a real impact on anything in the story or gameplay and the illusion of choice is purely for immersion.
If you're a fan of point-and-clickers for their stories but not much gameplay complexity, and considering buying this, I'd say - give it a chance, two hours are for sure enough to make up your mind on it. And if you already own it, try it out for sure.

Dishonored 2 improves on nearly everything that the first game already did great, while also maintaining a really solid story.
The gameplay is just more of Dishonored basically, but with a few new powers and mechanics. You're still able to complete objectives in a plethora of different ways, coming up with your own strategy and plenty of ways to deal with enemies, lethally or not. The highlight for me is getting the choice to play as Emily if you wish so, or just go back and get into Corvo's skin again. I only went with Emily for now, each of them has some unique powers that the other doesn't, though they sorta serve the same purpose, just done in a different manner. One complaint I have is the strange decision to nerf, quite heavily, the Dark Vission. Before you upgrade it, you can't even see any of the loot with it, and even after you upgrade it to do that, it's still quite bad and it makes looting and looking for collectibles pretty frustrating, at least for a while until you get used to it.

The story continues to be solid and interesting, especially if you dive deeper with all the random bits of written story you find in the world as notes and letters. As mentioned before, at the beginning of the story you'll have to make a choice between playing as Corvo or Emily, once you choose one, you can't go back to the other. As I've only gone through the game once, as Emily, I can't say for sure if the story is any different depending on whom you choose to play as, but I'm guessing there can't be any big changes, only small adjustments, as the story makes full sense regardless of who the protagonist is between them. The world continues to be beautifully crafted and detailed, making exploration really gratifying, especially with the game still looking great despite it approaching 10 years old.

As someone who isn't too keen on stealth games, the Dishonored franchise as a whole has been extremely enjoyable and I'd recommend it to anyone, stealth fan or not, I'm confident it has something for most people. To completionists, the game requires at least two, maybe even 3, full playthroughs, so that's not ideal, however, after your first main one, you can skip most of the exploration and fighting if you wish to and speedrun straight for the objectives, On top of that, the game has different outcomes based on your playstyle and plot decisions, which makes for a great incentive to replay the game and have a distinct, but still enjoyable, experience with it.

Put this in the launch options to skip the start up logos intro: -nostartupmovies

Brilliant stealth game that holds incredibly well even 12 years later, in all aspects. It still looks pretty good, though obviously dated, the gameplay is smooth and immersive, the quests have a lot of depth, and how you get the objective done is up to you. Whether you want to go in guns blazing, or stealthy and unseen, kill everyone, or just put them to sleep unharmed is totally up to you. I haven't encountered any bugs whatsoever, and having multiple choices for tackling the objectives is a nice incentive to replay quests and try different things.
The story is excellent, with really satisfying plot conclusions and great side characters. You're an assassin in a plagued fictional industrial city powered by whale oil, tasked with protecting the empress and her daughter. You get framed for a killing in an attempted coup d'etat, so now you have to find a way to unveil the coup plot and clear your name while being hunted down by law enforcers. The two story-DLCs with Daud are also just as good in my opinion, getting to know more about him and his organization, and getting access to some new powers and equipment.
If you've never played this masterpiece, or if it's been quite a while since you did so, I highly recommend you give it a go!

A great remake of the original. There's not much else to say about it, it's a classic pure bottled chaotic fun. Quests are short and linear but not bad. the story and characters are goofy and dumb, but funny and unhinged at times. For its length, there's a decent variation in weapons and abilities. The looks and effects are pretty good, and the style and aesthetic of the 2005 original are maintained but obviously updated to modern graphics. After every quest, you get little cards showing some of the new models compared to the old ones, which are quite interesting to go through. Voice acting is great, especially the main characters, but I wish they would've given background NPCs more random quotes, as they are few and will hear them a whole lot, the same ones over and over. If you are a completionist, some of the challenges are a little infuriating but doable with a few more tries, also, collecting all the probes is not required so don't fret about getting them all, just take the ones you see around while playing for extra upgrade points.
Now hoping for a Stubbs the Zombie remake.

This is the first and only Uncharted game I've played, and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The main reason why I wanted to play it was because I was itching for something like Tomb Raider, and while this isn't exactly that, it's really good nevertheless. Personally, I didn't enjoy it as much, but it scratched that itch and I've still had a really great time with it. I won't compare them anymore because I don't think they should be compared.

First of all, you technically get two games in one as U4: A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy are two entirely different stories that share some characters, with different protagonists, but identical gameplay. The stories of both of them are really great, fragmented in chapters, and basically linear with no side stuff to do, but as far as storytelling goes, they are emotional, compelling, and very much worth going through. Personally, I liked Chloe's story more, though Drake's is just as excellent.

Gameplay-wise, there's not much to complain about, it's about what you'd expect from an action-adventure. Puzzles aren't bad, never complicated really, but they can feel repetitive, especially in The Lost Legacy, where the puzzle with rotating pieces that need to align is extremely overused. The combat is decent and with a good range of different weapons. You're also not always forced into open-fire combat, you can take it slow and stealthy, and while this is pretty satisfying, there's no real incentive for you to do it that way. Unfortunately, enemies do feel like bullet sponges even on normal difficulty sometimes, but it's not really an issue.
Terrain traversal is pretty smooth, climbing is pretty good for the most part, and the times where I failed a jump or fell off I felt were rarely the game's fault. Running around often feels a little too slow, I found myself rolling a lot trying to sprint, but there is no sprint. Driving the 4x4 around is pretty fun, especially in the more open areas.
Talking of open areas, here comes an issue that annoyed me quite a bit, there are a bunch of collectibles and treasures to find and all that, scattered everywhere, so the game invites you to explore and search for them, however, a lot of the time there is no marked or obvious path you need to go on to progress the story, which will end with you going there by mistake a lot while trying to find everything there is to find and explore, and most of the times, the game lock you in there and you can't backtrack. This gets frustrating very quickly if you are the kind of player who likes to explore everything.

Visually, it looks fantastic, especially in the lower-lighted areas. And it runs pretty smoothly, on a 4 year old, mid-range at the time, laptop, I had no issues whatsoever with the games, on mid to high settings, getting between 45 and 60 FPS at all times, with no crashes or drops at all in my experience.

Achievement-wise put plain and simple, it's a pain in the ass. If you are a completionist and want to 100% this, I'd avoid that cause it's tedious, unsatisfying and plain annoying. There are some fun achievements, but they are few and far between. Despite there being over 100 achievements and the game being fragmented into chapters, there are no progression achievements. What there are plenty of them for though is collectibles, which aren't marked anywhere and are very very easy to miss. Also, other than those, you have a s***load of specific kill achievements that require precise actions and weapons, or specific orders you need to kill enemies in different ways in a specific amount of time. These are just plain unfun.
What helps is that you can replay chapters or even just combat encounters whenever you want, even using in game cheats or aim lock, so you can get most of these done after finishing the game.
