Extremely fun one of a kind game if you play Alien or Predator, join the Discord if you wanna find games on a semi-consistent basis

Long version
This game is a cross between a fps, a fighting game, and a horror game where both you and your opponent is the enemy that will one shot you if you get ambushed, if that interests you then buy it right now. No joke the game has combos, parrying, countering, and a buncha other stuff that creates a super unique game of RPS on every interaction you have with another player (provided its a 1v1 and it doesn't turn into a mosh pit of 4 xenos and preds doing random melee attacks which is fun in its own equal way). The mixture of combat and stealth in matches is something that cannot be experienced anywhere else to my knowledge. Predator has a load of fun gadgets that make him the most strong class once he collects his equipment but strangely weak before he collects them and having to rely on stealth that's not the most foolproof or melee combat that's not as powerful as a Xenomorph speaking of which, Xenomorphs albeit weak compared to the predator and the other one I'll get to, still have their own niche as being extremely stealth and melee oriented with the ability to strike from anywhere and get kills quick and efficiently provided you're good at stealth and the wall cling but demands you be good at melee combat and stealth to avoid head on fights with Predators and being seen by the black sheep of the game Marines.

Marines are as close to the only thing I could fault the game for, they almost entirely neglect the melee combat to instead play a normal shooter against classes that don't mesh well at all fighting them. The biggest problem with marines is their ability to halt matches entirely by camping together which borderline can kill matches with how impossible it is to stop once it begins, Predators can at least fight back with some of their ranged gadgets but even then its not enough (unless if you set mines everywhere lol) Aliens on the other hand are pretty much screwed and cannot fight groups except just throwing themselves at them and dying and pulling one of them with them.

I can completely understand how marines can turn people off with how game ruinous they are but if you just take the time to play around them existing and maybe joining servers where they don't camp which you can find by joining the game's main Discord server which I highly recommend doing so if you plan on playing AvP The game's age also has some cons but they're the standard ones like finding dedicated lobbies with players in them being a fair bit of a challenge, having fighting highly experienced players, and the occasional hacker ruining the fun.

In all this game was a huge part of my childhood and I was extremely shocked to see it's still alive at all in 2023/2024 and I cannot say it enough to give this game a shot and experience the one of a kind gameplay this game has.

Port all the RaC games to steam NOW, and I'll just leave some general pros/cons for anyone considering a purchase

+ Great story and respects if you have/haven't played the Future saga
+ Rivet and Kit are great new characters and I need a spin-off with solely them now
+ One of the best weapon lineups with both fun returning weapons like the Bouncer, Glove of Doom, Warmonger, and the Pixelizer and with also a load of new fun weapons like the Cold Snap, Ricochet, Headhunter, Negatron Collider, and Lighting Rod
+ Buttery smooth gun-play
+ Hoverboots/Phantom Dash make speedrunning super sick
+ Clank/Kit sections aren't a sin against humanity and are optional with no penalty
+ Renegade Legend should be the new standard hardest difficulty for any RaC game

~ Spec requirements are pretty hefty for a great experience.

- Not a fan of the low enemy variety, its always just sand sharks/ameboids/snappers, the thugs, or nefarious troopers
- Bosses are sadly at their weakest here being a mixture of too easy, simple, and shockingly overused as you will refight many bosses/mini-bosses throughout the game
- Only roughly an hour or 2 longer than most RaC games and is by far the easiest game to 100% but still has a very well balanced NG+
- Arena is somehow more limited than GC's
- While I love the weapons here, there's unfortunately so few gimmicky and ridiculous weapons (like the Groovitron, Infector, Suck Cannon, or Morph Ray), there's also no need for 4 very similar but different full auto blaster type weapons or 3 shotguns

RA is tied with UYA for my second favorite game in the franchise and I highly recommend it, especially if you've played the future saga and I am happy it got properly respected in this game. I do understand the game having some problems with it being more simple than many of the older games but I moreso see this as the devs laying out a strong foundation with the good gunplay and testing the ps5 specs with the rifts to see what people want gameplay wise before making the inevitable sequel to this game and adding more depth and I cannot wait to see where the franchise goes next after all these years of waiting.

Fighting game of the century, its great for new players and equally amazing for veterans and the netcode, single player content, playerbase, and promised support for the future makes this game worth picking up even at full price

Words cannot describe how important this game is to me, I am forever thankful it got ported to modern consoles and even more thankful it's got rollback netcode.

Rollback needs to become the standard for all fighting games
