Short, too short. Works well enough considering today's games, no major bugs and it's pretty polished.
Some replayability but atm the problem is lack of content.
Not as tactical as I'd hope but for a indie studio with this price tag I give it a 8/10.

Short Version:
The Division by Ubisoft, but with a medieval fantasy twist.
If you played that game, this is the same.

Long version:
I like to experience everything a game has and as such ive put in about 160h at the time of writing. I do that with everything, i just wanna get that out of the way before saying the following.

I must say i didn't enjoy most of my time with it and there are many flaws with the game. I only pushed to see if it gets better.

The Good:
-graphics
-sound
-animations
-core mechanics that can be expanded on.

The bad: Here we go folks !
-Bugs, to many to count. Disabling trade post and other features for days because of abuse.

-Newbie dev team, ive played almost every mmo that comes out in the last 20 years. And for a company with so much money it seems they hired only amateurs and begginers in game developement. They have no ideea what they are doing, they break more than they fix with each patch, the patch take to long for a game like this.
They have no ideea how to balance things, rebalancing the same issues with every patch.

It will take forever with this team for the game to get any good.

-What you experience at level 1 to 25 you experience for the rest of the game. Nothing new comes along, outside of the pvp wars that arent great at all.
-Game is on repeat with everything, the biggest repeat grind ive ever seen in any mmo, wich also makes it one of the worst grinds in any mmo. Its not pleasurable, its not spaced well betwen different activities, nor ar any of the activities available any fun.

Every game has its grind but new world could be explained as simple as 'click this for 2000 hours' and i wouldnt be far off from what the game can actually offer you. If you are new to mmos you might not know the difference and thus find it appealing, but if you know the industry, you would clearly see the faults in it.
Hence why 80% of the pop quit after first month n a half and its still going down rapidly.

-PVP skill ceiling is to low. YOu only got 6 abilities with 2 attacks and a dodge/block option so lets say you use 10 buttons, but not really. Most of the skills are just badly designed, stuff that should of been passives are an active skill.
Cooldowns on skills are to big so you wont use them as often as you think, half of the time your left and right click will be the main things you spam, hence low skill ceiling. Whats this mean?
People of higher skill cant actually 1v2 or 1v3 people, its basicly impossible.
You can 1v3 but not becuase of skill difference, but gear difference. Like a high gs lvl 60 hitting your 8k a shot and you doing 1k as a begginer lvl 60.

Honestly i could write essays on how bad this game is so i wont, just 1 more thing i will summarize and leave it at that.
-endgame content:
Outpost rush 20v20 battleground with 3 points in a straight line, allows for very little tactics when its spread out as such and its generally just an unskilled zerg fest. worst pvp ive seen in a game.

-wars, they are the same, you just swarm 50v50 >_> rare flanks n such. problem is to get in them, only the top players on the servers do, most of you wont ever play a war on a high pop server. (BIG ISSUE RIGHT THERE)

-dungeons that are locked behind keys you cant really get. my server for one hasnt done a dungeon in forever since noone has a key for it. Higher pop servers still have keys but ask for money if you want to join them.

-Watermark system: worst progression system in a game mixed with RNG. You do these dungeons or pvp, or elite chest runs in the open world, wich is basicly open world dungeons. You do them on repeat 24/7.
In the hopes that the game will decide to drop you higher gearscore item, that is the watermark system they have.
You start at 500 watermark (gearscore) as a loottable. The more you loot, the more it will go up (slowly actually).
After looting 1gazilion items you will reach 600 watermark, wich means most mobs will now drop you 600 gearscore items.

So what now? Gran another 1gazilion items in the hopes that it gives you the items you want with the perks that you need, wich are randomized. Ive been doing this watermark ♥♥♥♥ for weeks now, im 560 in my loottable but i still wear my 520items, because the rolls on items is so ♥♥♥♥ its rare that you will find a good item to replace your old gear.

The only other game i know that uses this system is: The Division
If you are familiar with the game, endgame loop is basicly the same with gearing up almost the exact same.

Didnt know AGS was Ubisoft.

not what was promised.
an allright game tho.
side jobs are empty and pointless, main plot is okay.
You can literally finish the main plot in under 15h, its pretty short.

Bad game. Worse than mmo. Lets skip the whole grinding n bad mechanics and game issues that you see most moan in every review.
If anything what makes it worse is the players. Because here the servers are managed by players, and a lot of admins are scum. (id say about all)
This game is full of drama, been on it for years and all servers die rather quickly always because of player to player or player to GM issues and banhammers thrown everywhere for the dumbest of reasons.
It's a dying game and the players are not helping, dying servers also mean its ussually not worth your time.
Wanna build what u do in the mmo 10 times over? Then ok.
Spend months to build a fort only to be banned because an admin does not like you (u dont even have to cheat in this game). And then have your fort demolished or used by some lucky guy that takes over.
If you like losing progress and restarting a hundred times. PLay this game.

These are all things i've seen, not all have happened to me directly. After having my guild leader banned cuz of some discord fight with an admin and then having our guild slowly die, i gave up on this game.
It was like the 10th time this ♥♥♥♥ had happened.(here n mmo)

Only game i have full achievements on 100%. Speaks for itself, this was my GOTY, glad it actually won it.
Forgot to give a review. While it is far from being a perfect game, it is a great game and the best one this year for me.
I compare it to dark souls because i found one thing i didn't like about the game, it didn't feel rewarding. It was more tedious then the other fromsoft games.
A big part of why it felt like that was because it didn't ever feel 'fair'. The other games were more balanced, this game punishes you severly unless you play it perfectly.
while the other games made you feel somewhat on par with the bosses you fought, this game makes you feel like the weakest NPC in the game. IF you get it wrong your dead, play it perfectly and you win.

I forgive it because at least you only have 1 weapon to master, so you get to the point where you can play the game to near flawlesness in not that long of a time, as they wanted you to play it. BY LEARNING PATTERNS TO HEART OF EVERY BOSS.
It's also why this game turns from Very HArd to easy as pie the moment you master the weapon and pattern and most of my moans till now kinda dissapear. It still feels unfair in the end, but now the roles are reversed, you are god and everyone else is your ♥♥♥♥♥.
Easyer game to master than Dark Souls, i mean i can kill every boss in this game without being hit and i can't do that in Dark Souls after playing all 3 games.

One of the best games i have ever played and will play in terms of fun and stuff to do. While the realism is STRETCHED to the point where it is ridiculous, looking at you aim sway and a few other things, it is regulated in most multiplayer servers or removed.
The game in itself by default is a great sandbox for the modders and that is what has kept it alive, best decision they made was to open it to mods.
The original campaign/game is fun but short. Not beginner friendly, most guys probably won't even finish it.
THe multiplayers mods expands on the game and makes it so much more fun. Including RP servers or Battle Royale or survival mods, capture the flag, you name it. Lot of weird stuff.
Or MILitary simulaTED servers, where ppl act as best as they can as the real army, funny enough a lot of actual VEterans play this game on these mil-sim servers. With events and scenarios that get prepared ahead of time, you need to play on specific hours to parktake in the scenarios wich make you feel really immersed into the game.
+10 on immersion in this game, whatever mod you play.
My favorite was exile(survival mod like Dayz) and the coop mil-sims that didn't take it to serious, i didn't have time for scheduled events.

Not good for new starters, your base is raided on most servers after 1 day, you can't survive.

Early Access Review
The ideea of the game was good, the way it was done is bad. Some systems are okay while others are complete garbage.
The game is gonna die unless they do a complete revamp, but they won't and this is why it is going to die.
One of the main reasons this game is dying is the bad Dev Team, slow updates. When you do get some updates its skins instead of actual game content and if you report anything to them, including exploits, they ignore it. I don't mind its how i got some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the shop, if they dont wanna listen.
Much to say about the game, had a super lengthy review last time, will try to make this one shorter with just some pro-cons type list.
PROS:
- The ideea
- The world building/teraforming
- Graphics can be nice at max.
- PVP can be fun, despite being clunky.

CONS:
- bad implemented ideea, on many levels. from skill tress to time to build, to skill gain/loss systems when dying, etc.
- the town building altho satisfying, it takes months to get anything done with a full team of men.
- not solo friendly at all.
- bad and nonsensical skill trees.
- GRIND bigger than Korean RPG's, wich you see 1 in 5 reviewers moan about. Doing 1 task 10000times just to gain skill level, that task ultimately leading to nothing fruitfull, except gaining said skillpoint.
- some skill trees are ultimately 10 times grindier than others, this lack of balance makes for the annoying grind. A cook can make ♥♥♥♥ food to grind up his skill, but his food will get used. (thats a +). A smith will make ♥♥♥♥ quality nails to upgrade his skill, those nails end in the trash, as noone wants to use low quality nails. Game is famous for afk-autohotkey farming in 1 spot while you go off to work, just to come home and see you gained 3skill points.
- quality system that i personally think kills the game. As people are so focused on quality, newbies have a hard time integrating into an allready built guild as noone wants to use their low Quality items. Ultimately this means there is no beggining to mid-game, just end-game.
- basicly the game is made as a money-grab. Everything is made so hard so you pay $$ to the devs to give you XP boosts n whatever else to make life easyer. New character? 10 $. A came you cant really play with just 1 character as you have to less skillpoints.
- to little content outside of building and PVP. that's why they make the building take so long. Joined many guilds that took 2-3 months just to get a very very smll town going, just to see them quit right after, as the game doesnt have anything else to offer.
- static loading bar mechanic for every action you do. You afk the game more than you play cuz of those. Wanna equip a item? 5 sec loading bars that say 'equiping'. Hammer in a nail? 10 sec loading bar for u. This is why you can do this with hotkeys and being afk. Game needed to be more dynamic, swing the cuting axe yourself, swing the hammer. Not just have an automated loading bar/animation. Try teraforming a plot of land, see how 1-2 hours pass to level enough ground just to build a stupid house.
- to many bugs/exploits.

Much much more, this in essence boils down to, great ideea, badly done. Like severly badly done.
And a $ hungering dev team. Truly regret wasting the 300h i put into it, but i was on medical leave at the time, had nothing better to do.

I mean ♥♥♥♥, been playing it since 1.6
Many bad decisions haVE BEEN made, some good. Latest update shattered web is trash.
But it is still the only good 5v5 fps competitive shooter i know, Siege is aight.
Having played it for so many thousand of hours and i am still happy with the game and the competition, i can't give it a dislike. Since i clearly still enjoy the game a lot.
However the community is utter trash, both forums and in-game. Toxicity is rampant and hacks are abound.

now they give me cs2. a joke of a game with no mods no workshop. a shell.
