Pretty garbage by today's standards, and pretty trash by yesterday's standards too. Still, it's rediculously fun and better than the last half dozen NFS games. Why'd my mom ever let me play this as a kid?

I could whine and moan for ages about how this game isn't as good as the Flash version (yet), and leave a 'Not Reccomended' review, however this game is both good and passable as it is for the time being. I simply hope this is a 'second life' for SAS:4, and that the Devs will listen to everyone crying out for the web version features, and maybe even evolve the game to beyond what that version currently is.

Update:

Left side got fixed, and I suppose the right side was the lesser evil of the two paths to start with. Good enough to thumb it up instead of thumbing down. :P

I still do wish the missle textures were changed, though.

Old:

The first two upgrades on either side are alright, but for 3rd and 4th on either side it just gives it a different rotating stand. It would be a whole lot better if the bomb/missile textures themselves changed.

I really want to give a good review for this game because of how fun it is, but just because of how bad Valve is neglecting the game despite how much money they're making off it, I can't.
(ie: 'VAC' and the first new operation in a year being the same 'Guardian' missions with minor tweaks..)

Still playing the ♥♥♥♥ out of it though because it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ addicting.

I've found a few glitches with the tutorial pop-ups being delayed/not popping up until you tab out and tab back in to a.. certain tab, but otherwise it's a very promising game!

I'm not far into it of course, I hope it lives up to how much I actually enjoyed Pixel Piracy.

The one thing that really nags me though is the combat system, I'd like it to more or less be an exact replica of Pixel Piracy. Groups with certain purposes at the top, perhaps via class with one main 'crew' tab. Also, pawns not automatically attacking enemies and just sitting there to take the damage is annoying.

On top of the fact that it's so bug ridden I can't even get off the menu nowadays, this game had quite a confusing starting game, and as many have said; features have been cut without reason.

The developers should be working on fixing game breaking bugs instead of.. whatever they're doing.

EDIT: This game gets my “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” award.. for the record. And the badge. Mostly the record.


If you allow yourself to be immersed in the game, you'll seriously have an amazing time.. or a horrendous one, depending on whether or not you like psychotic squirrels.

Well, if it's evidenced by my ~2600 hours I've put into TF2, I've put a good couple hundred of hours into this wonderful game. Ludeon above I love this game, and seriously couldn't praise enough in this review.

I first started playing around the release of Alpha 7, and had pirated at first due to admittedly not having the money to blow on yet another game. By the time I had the money to blow, Tynan had already announced that buyers would not be getting Steam keys after 'x' date, so I just decided to wing it until the Steam release.

Take my $30 and my many hundred more hours to come!

Since apparently this review is still relevant, most of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is because mobile was ported instead of Flash, and I prefer flash. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've played hundreds of hours of mobile and flash, just not much on Steam since I really didn't find it very enjoyable last time I gave it a go. The review was also written when you could not Esc out of the game, and I'm too ♥♥♥♥-all lazy to edit it other than this.

Well, sadly, I'm one of those 'veteran' players from Flash who quit a long time ago.
When I downloaded this, there were.. a few.. things that I didn't enjoy.

Pros -
- Bloons..?
- 60 FPS, fullscreen (albeit it looks like you just retextured a 480p image.)

Cons -
- Hanging Around...
- Hanging Around...
- Hanging Around...
- Of the 5 battles I've done, 3 were finished before round 8..
- No quit button. YOU SHALL PLAY FOREVER!!
- No new maps? If I recall, every Bloons game has their own 'special' map(s) that none of the others have.
- No keybinds.
- No new gameplay features at all.
- Multiplayer invites need a serious reworking, and the menu is clunky.
- MOBILE > PC, NOT FLASH > PC?

Summary -
This was rushed, and to me doesn't live up to the classic Kiwi standards I've come to love.

Written on the first day of release, not yet edited for any future/current updates.
