Gameplay wise units vs units just seems like a massive downgrade, fighting another opponent is just sending blob vs blob and cav charges just feel like they have no impact at all. The diplomacy and non-combat gameplay feels a lot better, but the actual fights seem like a massive downgrade and I don't feel like the purchase price was really worth it.

well i am almost certain that this game can't be sold in China as most others due to censorship

its pretty clear the total war devs know they have lost their "western" audience / supporters and nobody trusts or buys any total war games anymore, so they targeted china for a big market sale over there by making this
