The game is good, but it's characters and writing is absolutely terrible.
It's a decent, and fun spin-off. But. It needs to be communicated that this Fortnite-style of humour, and such /is not/ the way anyone in the community wants the see the game progress towards.
Nothing sucks the impact of a carbombing, like some shaven head hipster making a quip five seconds afterwards.

The aliens themselves just sound like generic people aswell, the snakes dont even hang on to the S's - which I was looking forward to seeing.

With the game discounted to 8 pounds, yeah - it's worth the money, its a decent little experience. But at full price? Do not bother. Go play XCOM:EU or XCOM2.

Beautiful. I hope my money goes towards the artists really expressing themselves to make what they want to make.

The game used to be really fun, but now it really is a slog due to all the 'meta' changes the developers have done.

Been waiting for this game for awhile now. It's a must buy to anyone. Forget about all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surrounding it, this game is legendary and deserves your attention and money.

A narratively bankrupt game, with terrible controls and horribly executed storyline that fails to capture any of the actual interesting elements or themes from Orwell's 1984.
Unless you like the bare minimum of the theme, with nothing else added - and love to constantly fail thanks to poorly implemented controls that are delayed and constantly make you feel on ice. Don't bother.

Beautifully designed game. If this is the beginning, the devs going places.

A bit tedious in singleplayer, but cooperative is really fun.

The Steam version has been broken for years, and is generally unplayable without any signs of being updated to work.
Either Pirate it, or just don't bother.
You'd be buying a broken product if you bought it here.

I originally left this review in 2019 - and the game is still unplayable without community available patches.
I honestly, and really do believe that Steam SHOULD NOT sell products like this. The game is one-hundred percent unplayable at purchase, you specifically have to find outside support to get the same to run. The game should simply be fixed from the start.

As much as I like that the game is available to get in the first-place, the fact it is unplayable in the degree of quite literally being technically unable to play without community patch - really leaves the question that is your business really valued?
