A interesting concept, with zero substance to make it fun.

Not designed to be enjoyed by new players.

Very, very far from how much it wants to charge.

I bought the game a year or so back, and played it for a little while - got involved in a clan, but, the game just felt off.
I gave it a break, and tried to play a little bit more recently - but, I just found it too dull - and just couldn't get into it.

The premise of the game I like, but - there's just this sort of cheap feeling to it that makes everything feel a bit off.

A Ross Scott recommended game.

Bit lacking, and ugly - but useful and functional as a daily-workout tool.
I'd personally recommend playing up to the competitive/scoring/unlocks to help with incentives as the game develops. But - we'll have to see where it goes from here. Hopefully it doesn't turn into abandon-ware because I love the concept.

It should probably be illegal to sell a game this broken. Even after patches it doesn't even barely hold itself together, it's just constantly falling apart.

But. Despite how frustratingly broken it is - I couldn't help but have so much fun with how broken it was, and had such a poetic ending - as Sam Fisher was blown up towards the camera - I got a runtime error plastered right over the face of Fisher as he stared into the camera. And I knew. My work here was finally over...

It's such a shame how broken this game is. The story is actually really, really good - and very intense, and gets you at the edge of your seat when sneaking around under the time-limit at the base. But. It's baffling that this stealth game has no actual shadows to hide in.

Due the million pieces of DRM that ubisoft has slapped onto the game - since it has become unsupported and stopped being patched and updated, they have seemingly sabotaged the launching process.
Meaning. If you buy the game, it will not launch. It'll open up the .exe and nothing will happen, due to Uplay loop that stops the game from working.
This bug has been around since 2017 apparently. So. The games been broken and butchered.

It is not only the Steam version that doesn't function. It's also doesn't work on Uplay itself. What a great company selling a game for 82 pounds that doesn't work. Good job for steam for letting it happen.

Good game

It's a good story game. Not a good open-world one.
All the problems have been listed a million times - the games writing, cinematic direction and all that is very, very good - and can carry the games issues on it's back. But, the gameplay itself is boring - tedious and lacks a lot of basic features, and functionality.
The game has been gutted - the music is very underwhelming and generally the game is going to have to pretty much completely reinvent itself to be good. This isn't a patch job like most people will tell you, this entire game is going to need a rework for it to live up to any notion of being a good open-world game.

As an RPG - it's a farce. You have as much freechoice and personal direction as those telltale games, which is to say - none at all other the same thing, in two different ways. In 'fallout funny reddit snarky reference mode' or just straight laced.
Some choices in sidequests and missions can let you stray down your own sort of path, like being able to allow some dudes who edit snuff-porn to live, or to stop their operation and so on. But. You really aren't levelling and creating a character you want to be, like in Fallout NV or other actual RPGs. You are playing the person the Studio written. And the tiny, insignificant details are yours to fill in with very little effect to anything else.

If you don't enjoy the game now. Then you never will, because this is it. No amount of patches or fixes are going to improve the writing and gameplay. Some sprucing up can be done and such, but this is just not an RPG game about making a character. This is just a step-by-step story.
