I'm doing a complete revamp of my review because now that I've had more time to play Darktide there is much to discuss, but I will keep it short. From my last review I voiced my opinions such as the Mutant was hard to dodge and the Skullbreaker should've have an LMG thingy. Now that I have played much more than 14 hours, I was actually very stupid. You can dodge the Mutant and the Skullbreaker has a heavy stubber, a lot of the classes have a good amount of weapons that will go well with your play style. I still stand by my previous point that there should be a dialogue wheel like L4D, I like the options that we are given but I still feel like there could be more, ya get me? Anyways, the game is really well made and I've enjoyed playing it a lot for the past few weeks, only problems I have with the game is the poor optimization and long loading times. Like seriously, it takes around 5-10 minutes to load into the game and it especially sucks when I try loading into my first match of the day, only to be disconnected for some random reason, waiting in the loading screen for minutes, or even an hour, just to either reconnect or join a new match. That's also another negative to the game, sometimes it'll just disconnect you from the match for no reason but at least that only happens whenever you join a match instead of having to go through that midgame, but that could be the case for some people though so I'm not sure with that. Overall, besides for a few technical problems, the game is beautifully designed and is amazing. They pour a lot of love and labor into this, from the VAs to the Weapons and even down to the smallest detail. Let's not forget about the music though, it makes the game standout a lot and I really jam out to it. I definitely recommend this to anyone, its even fun to play with friends as well, as long as their computer can actually run the game

Throughout the last couple of years of playing Half-Life 2 and a bunch of source mods/games I think this is one of the best mods or game, whatever you want to call it. Before Entropy: Zero came out I wondered if anyone was going to make a mod based on the perspective of the enemies we fight. Granted we did have a spin off (HL:OP) and a mod (HL:POV) but those were based around the event of the first Half-Life, but I wanted to mainly play as the Combine in a standalone game or a mod. We did get a few small mods like that over the years, but nothing compared to this. The gunplay feels fantastic; the sounds the weapons make feel really punchy, the damage that is given and received is perfect, some of the weapons given to you have been changed to some completely different from the base Half-Life 2, and the weapon roster is small, which is fine by me. Story wise, it was pretty interesting and I personally liked it. I don't really have much to say about it story, other than the fact that it's straight to the point, adds some nice details, and oddly higher quality than a mod's usual story standards. The level design, environment and scenes in Entropy: Zero are pretty unique. It's very detailed, blends in with the gameplay very well, and shows what can be pulled off with the source engine; it's all very good. The light is exceptionally good, even for the Source 1 engine. The scripted events and set pieces are fantastic! They gave me a few chuckles at times and "what the ♥♥♥♥ moments". Again, the attention to detail to literally everything is very well done; you can tell just in the first few seconds of booting up the game that the devs put a lot of love into the game. The voice acting is okay, they just spliced up some voice clips together and I think they got someone to voice the metrocops too? Either way it wasn't anything special, but it's pretty good. Also same thing goes for the music too. As far as gameplay goes, it plays like your regular Half Life 2 game/mod, but your hud is different and your flashlight is different too. Also gunplay thingy too but we already talked about that. As far as replayability there isn't much of it unless you want to unlock all the achievements in the game, which isn't that hard, but its one of those games where you can boot it up again after a few months or years of playing it when you don't really have anything else to do or something like that. At most it takes fives hours to beat, at least three hours. Other than that it is a very high quality mod or game or whatever it is. I'm pretty sure a prequel is in development so I'd checked that out when it comes out. Only thing I wish for them to add is some more replayability, like different endings or different routes, something like that. I would recommend playing this when you get the chance, this will be one of my personal favorite source mod or game or whatever you would to consider it. Good Job, Devs!!!

Early Access Review
Been playing this game for a few weeks now and I gotta say I had more fun with this than Doom Eternal. It's very fast movement shooter, kinda feels like Serious Sam or Quake, with a movement system I can get behind. I quickly went from baby brain to literal god within the span of one hour, maybe a little bit more. I enjoyed the combat and the story, it's got some good weapons, enemies and characters that aren't written as some 2D blockhead. The best part of this entire game has to be it's OST, it gets me pumped up and begging for more because I love Ultrakill's OST so much. Specifically Glory, that has to be one of my most favorite tracks in the entire game, second would be Castle Vein. I would recommend you to try it out, it's a good game to mess around in. At the time of writing this, Ultrakill is still in early access and ACT II is about to be released very soon, along with workshop support, so if there is a good time to buy the game it would be right now or maybe when a sale comes along very soon.
