This game somehow makes dying 40 times per level acceptable.
Getting one shotted by a random merc can be annoying sometimes ngl.
But, the parkour and the fights are a lot of fun. I usually don't like parkour in most video games but in this one it comes off as natural and flows steadily. As for the story I will be able to tell speak about it once I finish the campaign.

I was wondering why it went 50% off on sale so early after release. And after I bought it I realized my folly.
The weakest roster in number in comparison to MK11 and MKX.
Kombat pack costs more than the actual game right now, ♥♥♥♥♥ greedy mf's.
I finished the story mode in less than 5 hours and it felt like I was watching a movie with some playing on the side, not to mention the end of it with 0 specifics to the final fighter you chose.
I am guessing they will release a dlc to the story but I am sure as hell not paying for it.
And I will probably wait for a year or so when that kombat pack drops to a 10$ like what happened to all others before it in different games.
All in all, I am very disappointed, and the fighters have 0 variety compared to MK11, in MKX you had way more special moves then you have now, in MK11 you could make your own variety for the characters but here it seems so bleak, like a missing piece to the puzzle. The kameo's are a nice touch but half of them are locked behind a paywall anyways so it gets repetitive real quick.
And not to mention Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Havik being a part of the story and having their movesets and you could even play as Shang Tsung in one of the chapters only to see they are also locked behind a paywall (greedy mf's)
I hope they improve on their mistakes and realize that this isn't going to cut it.

I am loving this game but I would want to just have a quick chat with whoever designed the jumping puzzles.

Not worth the 70 euro price tag. For the love of God, loot still jumps out of the chest like it did in Titan Quest 20 years ago.
Will update once I play more though. If i compare it to Baldur's Gate 3 it fails in every category so far.
Update 1: I have been playing for a few days and I am drawn to it but not let's say hooked, I think it is probably due to playing the necromancer class because they are rarely represented in games and it is quite fun having 8 of your minions, 9 if you include yourself fighting.
So I will change my rating to positive but get it while it is on sale, 40 euros is more than enough.
And don't get me started on cosmetics, very expensive. And i don't know why but whoever designed this game loves the idea of 20 creeps jumping the main character whenever he moves 5 meters out of a town or through the map, not a big fan of that because my 8 minions often trigger them.
Update 2: Ever since I got the mount the game is OK.
Update 3: I am not making a new character / Starting from level 1 each season every 3 months. Unbelievable.

DLC was 2 hours longer than the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign

As I am nearing the end of my first playthrough I can only sing praises for this game. And I am playing to replay it at least 1 more time. The story line is awesome with so many quests intertwined, each of your companions is in it's own way original and their quests are awesome, romances are pretty common if you wish to follow that path, with many bad choices coming to haunt you later on in the game. The music is daunting and simply amazing especially when you fight Raphael in the House of Hope, where the villain himself sings his own theme ( everything Disney villains aspire to be ).
The fight goes smooth and when you are so strong later on in the game it just gives you satisfaction to delete enemies.
All in all I think this game does deserve the GOTY 2023 award. 10/10

Edit: I'm so glad this game got the recognition it deserved and took 6 awards including GOTY from the Game Awards!

Good free game but, as all free games nowadays it's covered with micro transactions to ease your way playing.
From inventory expansions on one character or all characters to subscriptions which do not go through as they should on Steam. Overall a fun game and an enjoyable experience. But since the micro transactions keep this game being free it's alright I guess

The game is dead don't waste your money like I did.
