Our story starts off with a question:
Plans for local co-op?

This question has been asked in many varying ways for quite a while now.
The first time it was asked, we got a "Don't worry, we're looking into it".

Two years later, and... Nothing has changed.
They're still giving the same copy-pasted business responses with no real answers.

"We are interested in seeing if we can bring splitscreen to the PC"
"It's not at the top of our list right now, but we may consider it"
"We're looking into it..."

Two years.

And this isn't even the real problem with it... The problem is that during that time, Don't Starve Together was released on PS4.
With local co-op.

Now, while not providing local co-op (despite the many requests for it) for BOTH wouldn't have really been an issue... This is.
The developers of this game have chosen to prioritize console players over PC players, which is made even MORE despicable when considering that they started out on PC. We were their first fans and customers, and yet, they've chosen to give us an inferior version of the game.
We should NOT support this kind of decision, unless we want developers to continue treating PC players as doormats.
We deserve the same game as consoles... Not an inferior version.

Many people (including me) bought this game under the hope that it'd eventually have local co-op (as one might reasonably expect, given their vague responses, and the release of local co-op on PS4), but it seems as though that may never be the case.

If the developers of the game change their mind in the future, I may consider taking this review down.
I'm just tired of being treated as less of a customer simply because of the system I use.

So... I just played the intro of MGSV with no prior knowledge of the series.
Basically: What.

First, I flopped around like a slightly damp fish with the help of some leper (oh, and before that, I'd created a character that I'll seemingly never use, since I'm still playing as the original main character).

Then, a bunch of idiotic army dudes kept somehow missing me when I hid in plain sight, while they massacred an entire hospital for some reason.

Oh, and lastly, the Devil himself flew out on a flaming unicorn with fire raining down behind him (his weakness is a sprinkler system, btw).

So yeah, pretty good so far, I guess.

Disclaimer:
This is not a review of the game, but my opinion on the way a few things are HANDLED with the game.
This will probably read more like a rant than a review.

Here's my current experience with the game:
It took nearly 20 hours to download the actual game (my wi-fi isn't the best, so this wasn't unexpected), and then upon launching the game, I was immediately greeted with a massive update to download.
That took like 2 hours or so to get to like 30%, but then it said there wasn't enough space available to continue downloading (I had over 5 gigabytes of space, so it wasn't dangerously low or anything).
I deleted a couple games, and brought my space up to 17 gigabytes (more space than I had before I'd even started the download in the first place)... And the error message STILL continued to pop up, refusing to accept that I had plenty of space to download.

I figured my only option was to close and restart the game, but upon doing so... The download had restarted.

When I finally got back onto the main menu (after that update took a couple hours to download), it refused to accept my account.

Eventually, I figured out that I had to enter the game's code into my account first (something that was never explained). And this time, when I tried to log into the game again, it said my computer was not authorized to access the game... So it sent an email with ANOTHER code.

I entered the code, and was finally able to get to the character creation screen...
And then this happened:

When I'd finally gotten into the game, I spent nearly an hour creating my character, but didn't click "create" yet because I was trying to think of a good name first.
So I went to make myself a snack (and thought of a name during that time, which was under 2 minutes), and came back to a message saying the game had kicked me due to inactivity.
All of that work down the drain.

At that point, I didn't even WANT to make a character anymore... or even play the game at all.
I'd spent a lot of time on trying to perfect my character (constantly going back and tweaking every option), and had been extremely happy with the result.

This game is the complete opposite of user-friendly.
It constantly felt like they didn't WANT me to play their game, and so were purposefully making things difficult (obviously, I know that's not really the case, but that's the impression the game gave me).

Who the hell puts an inactivity timer on a character creation screen?
And if you decided to do that (for some insane reason), why wouldn't you make that INCREDIBLY clear to the user?
Why would you NOT add a message or a PHYSICAL timer that tells you how much time you have before you'd be kicked for inactivity, and as a result, lose all of your progress?

Maybe I WILL enjoy the game once I actually play it. In fact, I probably will (I'm sure the actual game is at least decent).
However, at this point, I've currently just lost all possible interest and excitement that I previously had for the game... In fact, right now, I actively do NOT want to play the game.

It's not like I can refund the game either, since according to Steam, I've played nearly 10 hours (due to updates and such)... Despite literally not even playing for a single second.
I really wanted to try out the game, but it doesn't feel like the game WANTS me to try it out.
Everything seems to be set up in a very unclear and confusing way, and no explanations are ever provided.
This whole experience has just been irritating and infuriating...

I'll probably attempt to play the game again soon, and may even decide to take this review down by then (if I end up enjoying it enough).
However, I just wanted to make a few things clear about the game first, since my experience so far has not at all been a positive one.

The most common complaint about this game (and the only one I've heard) is that the story mode is much too short.

And yes, I'd have to agree there: The game can be "beaten" in under 2 hours.

HOWEVER, people don't seem to be taking all the other additions of the game into account, such as secrets, challenges, and endless arenas.
With all of the above included, I can't see the problem.

I suppose if you are looking for hours and hours of story, then I don't recommend this game (the story isn't its strongest point anyways).
However, if you're looking for a game that you can just casually come back to whenever you feel like having a good time, then I feel that this game is perfect for that.

I rate this game: 7.8/10
(I'm hoping they eventually decide to implement the Steam workshop to extend the game's length even further)

Scribblenauts Unlimited is one of my favorite games in the Scribblenauts series.
However... this is entirely because of the object creator and character creator.

While I AM recommending this game, I feel the need to list a couple major issues I had with it:

-The puzzles are much easier and less interesting/creative than the ones in Super Scribblenauts

-They got rid of destructable terrain entirely (you can no longer dig/destroy the land like you could in Super Scribblenauts)

-The maps are very crowded and there's no sandbox mode like there was in Super Scribblenauts

As you may have noticed, these are all downgrades from the previous Scribblenauts game (Super Scribblenauts), and while these issues do make the game a lot less fun, the new features mostly make up for it.
I rate this game a 7.5/10 and recommend getting Super Scribblenauts if you have any of the devices it's available for.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome.

I've been looking forward to Dying Light for nearly 2 years (I had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer during its release, and had to save up for a much better one), and the whole time, I've been hearing things like, "This is what Dead Island SHOULD have been" and "This is Dead Island... If Dead Island was a good game".
Well, I can tell you with 100% certainty that this game is everything Dead Island should have been and MORE.

The gameplay is actually challenging, the crafting was improved, and the parkour just feels SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ natural.
Unlike Mirror's Edge, the parkour doesn't feel forced and controlled, it feels like you're actually DOING the parkour.

Basically, if you liked Dead Island at all, or played it and felt like there was something missing:
Get Dying Light.

If you're a fan of fun:
Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Dying Light.
Seriously, do it.
You won't be disappointed.

The first time I played Eversion (almost a year ago), I played through it and thought it was simply a creepy game with an interesting concept.

However, today I played through it seriously. I played for achievements and to beat the game again.
It's garbage.
It's frustrating, tedious, and has some of the worst hitboxes that I've ever seen in a platformer. It's possible to die from just being very CLOSE to an enemy or landing on top of them slightly wrong.

I would only recommend Eversion if you plan to play it just once, and simply for the "story" (that doesn't really exist).
And even then, buy it on a sale.
If you plan to play for achievements, don't get it. It's unenjoyable and the actual gameplay is pretty awful.

I just found my new favorite thing to do in Fallout.
I literally just downed all of the drugs, alcohol, and food in my inventory, and then i went around bashing people over the head with a hammer (the one that's made of a block of concrete). I took absolutely no damage and killed nearly everyone with one hit (I had also taken Nighteye, so it was extremely hard to see what i was doing, and i stumbled around viciously attacking walls many of the times).
Luckily for me, i happened to be in Fiend territory, and repeatedly ran into their camps. Needless to say, their camps were filled with drug stashes, allowing the fun to last indefinitely..... or so i'd thought.
My drug-fueled rampage ended when the withdrawal kicked in (for every drug), causing me to commit suicide by dumping all of my landmines in a large pile directly beside me, and then lighting it on fire.

Mass murdered and then killed myself afterwards 10/10

It may seem strange that this is a positive review at first, but i just thought that i should list the negatives of the game at the beginning of the review:
The game IS kinda' more difficult than the original, but.... It's not more difficult because of good design. A better word to describe it would be: Frustrating.
For the most part, the difficulty in Hotline Miami 2 comes from a very different place than in Hotline Miami 1. In HM1, the difficulty came from well-made levels and good design, but in HM2, the difficulty generally comes from bad controls, bugs, and horrible level design.
HM2 is a much more gun oriented duck and cover version of the original Hotline Miami. Melee is fairly useless in HM2 and you are punished for trying to use it instead of guns.
I have to say.... I was really disappointed in Hotline Miami 2 when i first played it. It seemed to be a huge let-down.
After i got over that, i tried it again and went much farther into the game.
My opinion has changed and i think i was too harsh on it: Hotline Miami 2 is worse than the original in many ways, but it is definitely its own game. It doesn't completely copy HM1 and it has a feel of its own. While i was disappointed in many ways and i still prefer the original, Hotline Miami 2 has many things that make it special and fun, as well.
The new characters are interesting and fun to use, and the music and art are still very good. I also really like the look of some of the new menu screens and such, like the pause screen and level select.

Overall, Hotline Miami 2 is not quite as good as the original, in my opinion, but that's all it is:
My opinion.
It is possible that many people will like Hotline Miami 2 MORE than the original, as it is just very different.

I would definitely not say Hotline Miami 2 is a bad game, but i would also not say that it completely succeeds as a sequel. That said, i think that every Hotline Miami fan should at least try the game to see if they like it because it's still a good game and brings many new things that the original did not have.

My rating for Hotline Miami 2 is:
7.5/10

The developers of this silly "game" banned me from their discussions for a week because I told a joke.
The creators of this joke of a game can't even take a joke, themselves.

Also, something worth mentioning:
A friend of mine gifted me this game... That friend was one of the people on the team that made this game (he left recently because he was disappointed in them for making this pile of garbage), and even HE left a negative review.

To be honest, I'm most disappointed in the Steam community for allowing this piece of trash to release on Steam.
Goat Simulator had tons of content and unlockables, Surgeon Simulator was actually a well-made game... But Grass Simulator?
Grass Simulator has no appealing qualities. None at all.
I give this game a 0/10
