For a game from 2004, this was ahead of it's time.
Also two multiplayers included, so that's fun!

This one does not capture the fun the other titles in the collection did.

Pros and cons review type.

Pros
-Beautifully animated cutscenes.
-Drop Dash.
-Sonic 1, CD, 2 and 3 in a single package.
-Sonic 1, 2 and CD being based on their mobile versions.
-Great museum content.
-The ability to play as Tails and Knuckles in each game.
-Coins can be used to retry special stages in Anniversary mode.
-Adds Amy as a playable character in all four games
-Better than Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Cons
-Island Tour only lets you zoom in and pan the camera.
-Keyboard controls are not great.
-Sonic 3 prototype music arranged in a way similar to Sonic & Knuckles Collection. (except Icecap, previously unused New Blue Sphere results, and Competition menu)
-Sonic 3 super theme sounds like it came out of Sonic 4.
-Denuvo.

Not the best way to play the classics in widescreen, but it's convenient enough.

Early Access Review
Normally, guns aren't toys, but in this game, the guns are the toys, which is why I picked up Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, The perfect VR game for a gun nut.
You've got stuff like ranges, A zombie survival-like game, and the Wild West, and almost every ranged weapon you can think of, This includes a lot of the stock weapons from Team Fortress 2.
It's very fun.
As a little deviation from my standard type of review, I'll give this one a rating, and I rate it 9.5/10.

If you have a Steam Deck, get this. It's miles better than paying for an online service just to play NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games on your Switch.

It's definitely an improvement over Episode I, but I still don't consider this as Sonic 4.
By the way, I'm not buying Episode I. You probably shouldn't buy this one, either. But nonetheless buy it if you really wish to. I'm sure you might get some enjoyment.
