They would have caused a large amount of players to no longer be able to access Helldivers by doing such (Players who bought the game on steam, versus the countries where making a PSN account is possible/banned). Arrowhead has a track record of being a great dev, if the community continues to support them like this they'll be fine going forward. Sony truly is showing they have no idea what they're doing, and doubly so on PC.
