Looks great! Just needs more people.

Nothing too scary but the atmosphere is immense and the scariest part is really that this actually happened. Not 3, but hundreds of thousands were sent in, and tens of thousands died.

Maybe not life changing for all who play, but certainly a beautiful game with stunning imagery.. it'll only take about 5 minutes to play and a few more to install..

Firstly It's quite frustrating that the game tells you NOTHING about the world around you. With a difficulty this high with it's survival I would expect it to not want you to piece basic functions of the game together to actually play it. With something like Valheim I never needed to look anything up unless it was out of curiosity, but with DST I feel like I'm totally in the dark (btw, there's no wiki, only a copious amount of youtube videos that are like an hour long each.) This is a game where knowledge is power, but I've always felt like the only way to gain that knowledge is through literal hundreds of hours of trial and error.

Secondly, this is a personal peeve I guess but some of the characters "voices" are extremely grading/annoying. Each character makes noises for their text that resembles the instrument it's based off of. One of them is a flute and that's perfectly fine, but others I hate.

Lastly, and this might be my greatest personal issue with how the game is made: Combat. Combat is something I really loathe in this game because it's so 1 dimensional, yet you have to engage in it all the time and sometimes for 10-30 minutes on a boss. The game is almost entirely melee so fighting anything consists of walking up to it, hitting it a few times, and backing off before it attacks you. There's no dodging or blocking, and healing is as simple as eating a ton of food. Later in the game you can get a walking cane which increases your walk speed when you hold it (you can't run, only walk) so people will switch out their weapon for their walking cane to 'dodge'. This makes the combat more complex and involved, but I really hate the way it's done.

Ending off I'd just like to say I know nobody will see this, and if anyone does it'll either be my friends or other people who've played this game. If you enjoy the game that's great, I think it's a great game for people wanting to put a lot into learning about the world, and want that challenge to survive.

Buggy, unbalanced, barely chess, poorly optimized.. 10/10 Try it with your 8th best friend.

Great game for people like me. I'm not quite smart enough to fully understand optimization but I may yet become better one day. Pricing is a hot topic though lol

Feels so alive! When you drop into this alien world it truly feels like an experience. I'm biased as this was the first game I got on steam, but It's still my favorite game to date.
