Fortunately, use of fireworks by civilians is perfectly legal in my area, so I'm able to set them off openly in my backyard. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time or money to purchase any this year, so all I have is a small box of mortars leftover from last year, but it's a showstopper, so it should make for a fun way to cap off the evening.

Time to fire off (il)legal fireworks and terrify small animals for an hour straight at an ungodly hour. W00t!

I'd say it was 50/50 honestly. On one hand, you could say that I played right into their hands by lending credence to their accusations, seeing as the backgrounds did — unbeknownst to me at the time — come from eroge with extremely braindead titles. On the other, I openly credited them for funding the acquisition of said backgrounds, which they clearly weren't pleased by, as they promptly stopped awarding my posts with Jester Awards.

Not a bad view for the holidays, all things considered.

Thanks aabicus, I get a kick out of it too. I honestly got it in response to a bunch of TF2 SCUD trolls who wouldn't quit leaving nasty messages about me being a degenerate on my profile, using steam points earned from Jester Awards they kept spamming me with.
Prior to that, my profile background was just Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, and the only indication whatsoever that I was a furry on my profile was that I was in The Furry Pound TF2 steam group. I figured, if certain folks are going to treat me like that regardless, then I might as well have some fun with it.
Every now and then I swap it out for something else. I wish that more developers would make animated steam profile backgrounds because still ones feel so plain by comparison.
