Too many negative people on Steam..

Is it playable? Yeah. Minor framerate drops when I launched, but aside from that it wasn't too bad. Could definitely use some optimizing, but it's a free demo, so like chill the beans a bit.

Is it good? I personally enjoyed it. Scares are a little easy to spot coming, but it's still fun for a free one.

10/10 for the ability to disintegrate Nazis with acid.

Played the game as part of a Lurkit campaign on livestream. Super fun simulation, tycoon game.
Art is a little basic, but it's fun and casual. Great game!

Tough one to review to be honest. Got a free copy from a Lurkit campaign. Couldn't play it on a livestream. Didn't want to leave it at that, so I went back into it today, just to film a video around the game. It took a little while, but it is playable if you're not running many extra processes on your machine. Froze a couple times when I got to the mansion, but after that, smoother.

Not too much atmosphere in the game, but there's a couple scares here and there. Honestly, I was just focused on how nonchalant the main character is about everything. Bloody window? "There's my entrance!" Random figure walking down into the basement, "well the lawyer said the key was down there."

Not going to be one of those ultra negative reviewers.
Look, it's 2008 Silent Hill from the XBOX 360/PS3 era.

Decent game, but the port is definitely sub-par. Save often and you'll be fine. Here's the key things to do, to avoid a bad time.

Do NOT minimize the window, you'll crash when you try to reopen it.
Do NOT use the steam overlay, your cursor will get messed up and you'll have to minimize to fix it, and then crash.
There's a glitch where projectile weapons don't make collision, so test a save file. Shoot into a wall, bullet hole = good to go. No hole = reload the save file.

Above all, when the game freezes. DO NOT MOVE OR PRESS BUTTONS. Just let it load. Towards the end, the freezes take up to 60-90 seconds, but it will come back if you don't hit additional inputs.

Wow. After reading these reviews I'm a little disappointed in the state of gaming. It's gorgeous. The art and sound design is impeccable. The storyline is very unique and can definitely keep you hooked. Combat is mostly seamless and really fun/engaging.

So let's talk gaps. No character dialogue and limited player choice. It's a MMO, get to the loot and bosses. The story will drive you through, you don't need the choices.
No controller support. They'll add it soon. It's a FREE game that's super accessible. You can manage for a bit with a mouse/keyboard.
Server issues and confusion on how to change worlds/servers. It'll get patched, give it like a week or two and it'll be all good.

It's a solid game with some really really good features and design. It's also FREE!!!!!!!!
Complaining about a free game is like complaining about free food.

I've been on steam for 10+ years, hundreds of games purchased and played.
This is the first and only refund on my account.

I recorded 18 minutes of gameplay on my account, but it was really only like 2-3 minutes. Game is slow, even on the slowest settings that I couldn't even pick up a rock.

My first playthrough lasted 10 minutes before I stepped on a snake. I quickly started devouring any plant I could find to fix it. I, rightfully so, got food poisoning. I dehydrated and lost energy until I passed out and died.

Second playthrough lasted 5 minutes. Cliffs suck.

Third playthrough I finally made a fire and basic shelter. Explored a cave, discovered this game has spiders, got poisoned, and died.

I love this game.
