Otherwise plenty qol fixes and a lot of love was put into the game. Compared to mh: world, mh: wilds got a bit simplified. But it is very enjoyable, even if you are new to the series.
It is a 9/10 once they address optimisation, right now it's only worth buying with a premium pc or as a monster hunter series fan.

The game is pretty good!
It's a hard and responsive nes-like platformer. The controls remind Contra. It only has 6 levels, but they are hard and fun to play.
If you enjoy such kind of games, you'll definitely enjoy this one.
Most negative reviews are about how hard the game is, so be aware :P

Never thought I am going to review a guro Steam game, but here it goes
Pros:
- voice acting
- actually crazy gorish images / images are well drawn
- description of guro stuff happens

Cons:
- ultra short story
- no choices except for the 7 cgs, yes, I'd like to have a story between those 7 deaths and some continuation
- no possibility for happy end
- price/value

sadly i cannot recommend the game, it's way to short, pricey and unfulfilling at the end (perhaps for someone it is)

P.S. consider steam reviews for such games with a grain of salt. It's easier to give a bad review to a guro game, than a good one. the people who would give a good review to a guro game, usually don't review it, as of being afraid people see them as a weirdo x)

I've played the game on GoG, if you know what i mean :^) so, don't worry about my gametime.

☑ Laggy experience
It's pretty much unplayable without mods, like any Stalker game. For some people the game crashes before the yesterdays 12GB update, for some after the yesterdays update. The lightnings and shadows are simply broken. Antialiasing is not working, the textures are flickering. Graphics looks horrible for a AAA game that was just released. Indie games usually have higher standards.
You need to mentaly prepare yourself to install a bunch of mods to fix all that. I did not install any mods, because I cbf to spend my time with this, either the game does work or it doesn't.
Because of beatiful optimisation, you can expect 30 fps in the city on a 2070 medium settings.
The story itself is pretty lame, it feels unfinished. The world is empty, there are no interactions with other Stalkers. You can softlock yourself out of the game on very different ways, it shows that the game wasn't tested before release at all. There is no reputation system like in Fallout for example, this feature was promised but isn't there.
AI is dumb. Like very dumb! Enemies spawn in front of you. Promising "life 2.0" is obviously not working and in games current state I don't expect it to work even next year.
Loot system is ♥♥♥♥. The amount of food and bandages in your inventory after 2 hours of playing the game makes think you broke into some old soviet factory.

☑ Swastika on shotgun pattern
There are not a lot of small details in this game compared to old Stalkers. But coming to details, how come all shotguns shoot swastikas in the game? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXJDZhvSwa0
Swastikas in video games are illegal in Germany and Austria for example. The moderators on forum obv. say "it just happened this way" and "you are interpreting to much into it". Watch the youtube video yourself.

☑ Racist songs
This video is from some autist, but don't mind him. The song is originally founed in Stalker 2 singing about javelins killing "rusnu" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Fln_xx3Qds&t=33s
EDIT: apparently game updated and the song was removed. Since I was not able to find it online, I am pretty sure it was written especially for Stalker 2. Can't support trash devs.

For a long time Wolfenstein was censored in Germany, while the game was about nazi Germany. Is this game about nazi Ukraine? Bringing politics into the game like this is a bad practice. The rename from Chernobyl to Chornobyl says already a lot, so it was expected.
Well, what else was there to expect from Stalker 2? Unfinished game, bad game design, empty worlds, untested, broken and unplayable. Thanks god i got it from GoG, so I obv. refunding it here!^.^

sadly worse than an average furry hentai game, I assume a lot of positive reviews come in from gifted accounts

mini-games:
sliding puzzles are always pain, they aren't fun
2048 is broken, after failing once you start with an empty board (hello level 6)
frogger doesn't feel rewarding, you don't have multiple life so you cannot fail. Also speed makes it impossible
"throw ball" feels clunky (like the rest of the game)

artwork and game sprites are low resolution, ingame resolution in 1080p makes my eyes bleed (you can count pixels) :(

It's happening, ID games get rereleased and updated, much love<3

This game sucks. You play vs bots, there is no combat zone together with friends. I can't imagine reviews being that good.
