Finally played this controversial entry in the Quake series and was surprised by how good it is. I remember there were mixed reactions on it when it first came out and yes I can see that it is more of a Doom 3 meets Quake 2 and Call of Duty, yet it is pretty exciting. Also, I am very surprised at how many design, environment, and animation ideas from Quake 4 were transferred into my favorite Prey 2006.

Game works like absolute trash on modern systems. Not worth a penny.

It is not a bad game, it is not a good game. This game is from the era where there were simply mediocre games. And it is a mediocre fantasy slasher game. There are some tedious moments, some trash moments, but overall it is simply OK.

Outdated MMO that is best to be closed for saving company's funds. It has only historical value now.

I really wanted this game to be a hidden gem, but it is still very raw. Cyberpunk and ancient aesthetics design presets do not fit well into each other. For those kinds of blends, you need custom designs. Level design has to be vastly improved because it gets over the top confusing even if your directional feel is ok. Leveling up is too slow; even if you grind, you still do not feel any improvement most of the time. I hope developers get some experience from this game and will have major improvements in future projects because I would like to see the Blame's Megastructure concept in video games.

Finally completed this game. Understood how rusted in stealth I have become. The game is a classic solid stealth that forces you to be extra cautious. Everything is great, except the second part of the final chapter, where they introduce elves that can discover you within a 6-meter reach no matter what you do. This is a horrible and unfair mechanic and I hope it won't be present in the second game. Also, there are no refills before the final boss encounter, so be very cautious.

I bought this game on release so that YOU can buy it on sale.
The game is great and it provides a ton of fun and laugh. It is the type of slasher we rarely see nowadays.
As for the Remaster.
I fully agree with the statement that it is very overpriced, mainly because it is not the level of remaster like Destroy All Humans, Crash Bandicoot, or Tomb Raider. It is a very budget remaster with the neural networks. Because the manual approach would prevent the lighting problems of certain scenes, bugs with running platforms, and a strange filter in the 5th chapter. Also, there are no quality-of-life features, like a reworked gallery with previews, cut scenes, etc. Nor there are expanded options in the graphics menu.
Nevertheless, it is the only way to play this game (unless you have a working PS3 or you are good with emulators), so in theory, a 20-dollar tag wouldn't be so bad.
I enjoyed this game and I am happy that games from PS3 & Xbox eras are finally starting to get remastered. Hopefully, Dragami Games will improve their skills in remastering and present us with another, better-made, remaster of another cult game.

Finished the campaign and played PvE & PvP. Great graphics, although the FPS drops in campaign mission 4 if I recall correctly. The PvP is very dynamic and a bit chaotic, but very fun. Challenging PvE missions. Parry is very questionable, especially because it is connected to ping when you play co-op. Overall I am having a great gameplay experience and will continue to play PvE & PvP. Hope the developers will provide new content in the following seasons.

The only good thing is environmental design. It has very unbalanced gameplay that tries to combine Republic Comando with a horde shooter. If the creators wanted to have more tactics then there should have been fewer enemies and their health should have been lower. If they wanted to make horde-shooters, the main characters should have had a lot more health. The solo campaign is simply boring and uninspiring. The cherry on top is the co-op multiplayer with the absolutely broken difficulty level, where you die instantly from 1 special brooder attack even on easy. The good thing about it is that you truly feel the absolute dread and despair of the Deathwings that move through the space hulk corridors first-hand. There is only death and the Emperor's Will in these corridors and a dreadful game experience.

Great shooter of its time. The fantasy setting combined with usable items and dynamic intense battles make it a great experience.
