Well, this game deserved GOTY and finally, i was able to play and see why was that.
Before writing a whole bible about your favorite character dealing with his consequences, this universe doesn't have Hero or Villains, just survivors.
I love stealth games but with this one i found it too easy even in a high difficult, i don't really understand why enemies ignore the fact there is a massive amount of corpses in just one place and then proceed to walk on them like if there was nothing, i would rather to have less realism in the rope and give more in the AI of the enemies and giving them a bigger area where they can spot you is not a real fix.
Besides that, i understand why the beginning of the game was like that. You feel the anger and desire for Vengance at the beginning of the game, so you have a real motivation to play and begin this journey but at what cost?...

yeah, i also had internet in 2020, full of people complaining in social media about Joel and giving us something even worse... people adopt "woke" in their vocabulary, something 100000% worse than Covid, for real. From this game to nowadays, there is no game where you don't find some idiot shouting "Woke" and i kept that idea at the moment i started playing this game, is it really that "woke"?, i wanted to find it by myself.
People who played the first game and the DLC already knew that Ellie likes women and there are some gay characters, so was it a surprise that in the sequel she has a girlfriend in this game? definitely unexpected.
I wanted to see if that "Gay propaganda" would affect the gameplay or something and guess what, it doesn't.
I like how Ellie can neutralize any enemy and she won't ask first if their "pronouns" are right, yes. she's definitely has a major in equality for everyone. Knife for Everybody!
and that sound silly, but reading comments, post, online stuff with people raging about it, that's the kind of "pro gay" thing i expected but my god, two woman kissing and that's all you complaining about? this is a game for adults and playing this won't change your ideals unless you have the same criteria than a 5 years old.
talking about the story, you can extermine a huge amount of enemies and you and Ellie feel the same, you don't care about them because it's meant to be a revenge, but then they show you. no matter what side, you can lose your allies and they just leave like that, they're gone and so does Joel. This game and the whole TLOU universe it's not meant to be a "good guys bad guys" thing, they are all survivors and some of those are able to do anything they can to survive, that's the only realistic aspect of this game that i trully believe it was perfect captured in the game, so. when it's time to revenge, Ellie realizes it, she found Abby in her weakest state, so would it be worth? it would be too easy to say "Finish the job and kill her" but that would prove Ellie learnt nothing from her journey, this game gets more about healing rather than Vengance, and you get it at the very end of the game, with Abby alive the fireflies can come back from the slaughter that Joel did and Ellie found that this way, the vengeance will take everything from her, already took her family out, her ability to play guitar and her biggest fear is now true, She is alone. So, would it be worth to keep in that way?
i'm really excited to see what's coming in the next title if there is any, but after all the comments you see online, this game is too impressive when you analize it and take the time to understand it, just play it and make your own opinion about this game, don't replicate the same opinion than your favorite youtuber, be real.
