It's the first game, but worse.
Maps too big and enemies too quick to shoot, given the fact that you can't even see half the enemies you are fighting a lot of the time. You will die to enemies you don't see hundreds of times. Not fun. Story doesn't even matter if gameplay is as ruined as it is. Unfortunate.
Play the first, avoid the second.

Game took 8 hours to 100% achievements. It's not as good as other time sink titles of its kind, but if on sale it is a justifiable purchase, since the devs clearly put at least some effort into diversifying the item picks and enemy types. Moderately enjoyable.

Overall Grade: 6/10

Unfortunately this game does not hold up in quality to its franchise predecessors. Artificially difficult and repetitive. Do not purchase even if heavily discounted.
