Beautifully hand-animated and painted. if you enjoy exploration, platforming, and above all else, a simple but developed fighting system that rewards skill, This is a great option for you.

Casual players will appreciate options tailored to allow them to enjoy the narrative without frustration, while seasoned players will enjoy collection, a deep combo and experience system, and increasingly challenging encounters. Another great entry from Microsoft Studios that was surprisingly great. I recommend this and look forward to another entry to the series.

'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' Doesn't Fix The Series' Biggest Problem...

I’m talking about the combat. There’s no beating around the bush here. No softening the blow. Combat in Assassin’s Creed is a miserable, tedious affair. As much as I love running across rooftops and scaling towers and just feeling like a badass assassin, I just can’t get over how lame the combat remains after all these years.

I realize it probably hasn’t changed much because Ubisoft sees Assassin’s Creed as its big, annual cash-cow. Why fix it if it ain’t broke? But that’s a dangerous mentality. People will start losing enthusiasm over a series that comes out every year when all that changes, in any meaningful way, is the setting.

With games like Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor out now, which borrows some from the Assassin’s Creed formula but improves exponentially on its combat system, there’s really only so long that Ubisoft can continue putting off a combat overhaul.

And if the publisher/developer is worried that more casual fans would be put-off by a more demanding and engaging combat system, they could easily have difficulty modes like many other games (though this risks making the hard mode just frustrating rather than hard.)

I just imagine an Assassin’s Creed, with its big, beautiful open world, pared with the combat of Shadow of Mordor or Dark Souls, and my heart weeps. Because as I play Syndicate I just can’t get over how easy and boring the combat is, how lacking the enemy variety is, and what a shame and waste that is for gamers and the game’s designers alike.

Time to shake things up. Time to really make a change with this franchise. The only game in the series I’ve seriously enjoyed in years was Black Flag—a truly wonderful pirate game. But even that entry could have benefited greatly from combat that was as compelling as its ships and setting.

Maybe next year? While lots of high scores might assuage any doubts Ubisoft has about the franchise, I can’t help but see interest waning from down here at ground level. Certainly I can’t see how such high scores are even being given out to a game that has been widely critiqued for the same failures year-over-year.

Even just fixing combat would probably make critics go crazy with hype. The reward is worth the gamble.

Just... PURE.RAW.FUN.

Reminds me of the Budokai games of old with the Tenkaichi open world engine. Visually Stunning, Decent button masher and cool visual effects that result in an amazing package of old yet slightly new content. You know the story of each saga... but it's never been presented in this manner nor have you ever gotten a chance to create your own custom character with you choice of techniques. Highly recommended, and obviously there will be a 2nd game sometime soon.

I'm currently about 53 hours in and it's still manages to surprise me with new options both in the story and just random encounters with NPCs. There is no saving the world, here, no great evil force pervading the landscape, or a doomsday clock ticking down to inevitable destruction, with only you to stand in its way. The story of Wild Hunt is a personal one, set in a huge and unrelentingly beautiful world. Choices have substance and consequences. On one quest, I did the right thing by helping a group and it resulted in the death of a village. Things like that are just magical.

When they said it was an Ambitious attempt, those words do no justice to what they created here. Sure there are a few bugs that happen but it's not game braking. The patches and the Free DLC makes it a main stay in my gaming time. I can't recommend this game enough.

This game was big disappoint of me. Because controls are terrible, the game has A LOT bugs, I have almost rage quit because them and story isn't very good. But the visuals are really NICE, voice acting is quite good. It's sad to say it.. but AC Rogue is still a better game. AC4 BlackFlag is still the best entry since AC2, AC Unity feels like a mess of the options avaliable in the FIRST AC game entry. I really hope they fix this... or start to take better use of the time to Q/A the games before releasing them. The series needs more than a few months to make... Take the extra time to make it worth the player cost.

Best LOTR game to date. Perfect mix of everything from the blockbuster games of yester-year with a sweet Revenge mechanic that leads to some pretty amazing results. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The Good... A great video game version of those B-grade movies from yester-year. Not as polished as most games to date.. but addictive and HILARIOUS at times with colourful Japanese stereotypes. The Co-Op option is light and fun, although it would be great to play as someone other than both players as Nick. sure it's a great short-cut for the main story CG scenes with Nick... but honestly seeing a clone of yourself for the entire experience is kinda Meh.
the bad... The Port is pretty Meh. it's not optimized for PC, but then again all the major companies make bad ports all the time, but this one is enjoyable. It will require you to have a lot of patience. CRASHES plague this game. I have a pretty decent rig and it can run games that are demanding on the specs at great speeds.. but this has major lag, crashes and even random boot crashes.
Final Verdict: Technical issues aside, the lack of inclusion of the final downloadable content, Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha was a disappointment. But it doesn't matter, I'm sure we'll see it later this year.
It's light, pick up & play and enjoyable.

This is classic survival horror with a mondern day twist. Great story and completely dependent on your decisions. HIGHLY recommended.
