Here to Help Save a Scrim

Scrim Savers was born of the repeated problem of losing a scrim last minute and being unable to find a new scrim partner. In this group team leaders will find a large variety of HL players from various divisions all willing and able to band together quickly to form impromptu scrim partners to save a cancelled scrim.

This group is open to join and we encourage you to invite other players, teammates, or friends with experience in competitive play. As our player base grows our ability to field competitive teams at any level in a matter of minutes will greatly improve, and the good that we can do, saving scrims, will increase. We encourage all members willing to take part in this community resource to take the time to fill out the Google spreadsheet (you can find a link in the group discussions or right here ===>) with their class availability for the various UGC divisions and to respond to group announcements calling for players to form a team.

***How it Works***
When a team leader has a scrim that needs to be saved they can contact any Admin or Moderator of this group, through individual steam chat or this group's chat, with:

----- their division
----- connect information for the server where the scrim is to take place
----- [optional] if any players from the other team will be staying to participate in the scrim

After a request is received the Moderator or Admin will send out a group wide announcement calling for players to begin gathering in mumble. Slots still missing from the team will be fielded through a combination of the Google Spreadsheet and individual networking on the part of players already gathering in the Scrim Saver Mumble. Once a team has been gathered server information will be distributed and the scrim can begin.


NOTE: This is a community service created by players, for players. We encourage members who are interested in committing further to the group as Moderators, or who have ideas for additional services/improvements to current services to add the group admins to talk about ways that they can help.
