Download the add on Drop Dead Gorges and get some buddies together and play this game and give this guy a honest review. He has had a few comments and one bad review from some nuckleheads that don't want any challenges in life. My buddies loved it and played it through twice last night. This guy needs some encouragement for a great campaign.

hey, wanted to use the l4d1 survivors in l4d2 but for some reason every time i load up a campaign everyone is invisible. any reasons as to why? (i'm testing it in single player as well and still the same results :x )

Great job u guys have done, but now that the Sacrifice has been out for like 2 months, can u make the ORIGINAL (not modified) campaigns with the l4d1 survivors and the minigun? that would make an ultimate version of L4D2 for me! And include the Church guy if u could :)

sky here. i run two 10v10 servers in a huge community.
we have death toll modified v5.2 on the servers.


Only problem is no one has them or will play them.

At the end of each campaign we have a vote system.
Join the servers, play some death toll. god, we need more l4d1 maps going.
I'd love to get all of heartless' ports up there, exempt no mercy ofc.

Well the Sacrifice is out now so hopefully the new assets help brings these ports as close to the original as possible (although Valve already included their own "No Mercy" version and perhaps the other campaigns will follow eventually)

hey guys how r u I have a prob with my l4d2 serv and modified campain, i have no prob for upload nomercy V6 but other modified officials campain like dead air and death toll ,i can upload them but i cant see them in hlsw and i cant load in my serv just play on it in local serv why? if anyone can help me pls a big thx bb all

Right now, VPKs don't work in Versus. So...yeah.

Having custom VPK's on your server will not cause any map to crash other than its own included files, if there are bugs in the custom maps. If you are experiencing crashes on The Passing, it is unrelated to any custom maps you have, unless the custom maps share the same name as the passing maps, which they don't, at least in regards to Heartless' maps. In regards to the passing, if any witch spawns on a passing level, the server running it will crash.
this is a common bug, along with dozens of other bugs that appear when playing that campaign.

Hey Ryan, I didn't experience the problem with the passing maps crashing, are you sure you have the latest versions? Also, on l4dmaps.com Ausimums, I think his name is, has versions that attempt to remain as faithful to the originals as possible, one of them is called No Mercy 2, I'm assuming he's done others. Haven't played them myself but they've been reviewed quite well.

Are there still any "original" versions of the L4D1 campaigns for L4D2 by Heartless that don't cause the Passing maps to crash? I'm not against the modified versions, but it's just my preference to have the classic original versions if they can still be worked on and improved.

Big props should go out to Duskmourn for hosting these on his 10v10 servers, it's a total blast so go fill em up!

Hey shortnstubby, I don't recall experiencing 100's of non-stop hordes or anything like that, seems a little strange to me. Is it on the 2nd map of the campaign then? And Vitigiyas27, it is normal for there to be a total of 4 tanks, 2 tanks, then 2 tanks again a little later. I played through with the author and that is how it is designed as far as I know. It is a long finale, however it does end and the helicopter rescue comes. I highly recommend the new version of Blood Harvest v2.5, it is completely playable start to finish and fixes many issues seen in 2.4 that I experienced. In 2.5 at the end you radio for help and the fence around the platform opens up when the helicopter arrives so you can't get on it until then. This solved the camping problem in versus.

Linux looks for first . so it was thinking the files were unknown file types, 1 other question how ever, No Mercy 8.3 after the first map it spawns a tank every time like soon as we left safe room, and theres like 100's of non-stop hordes is this how its designed?

No Mercy Modified 8.3 has a bug with the radio. Somehow, you can start the finle twice, that means, bringing a total of four tanks.

Hi all, I run a server group (and also code the plugins) and we've decided to add these campaigns to one of the server rotations.

The current rotation is
Deadcenter, The Passing, Dark Carnival, Swamp Fever, Hard Rain, The Parish, No Mercy, Death Toll, Dead Air, and Blood Harvest.

During the 2nd round of each finale, players can also vote for the next campaign that they want to play (instead of staying on rotation) by typing !tv in chat, and making a selection.

I am also in need of admins on this server, so let me know as well.
It is a 10vs10 server.

ShortnStubby, gameservers.com should be able to assist you with their techs. You need the maps in your servers addon folders, restart your server. Also make sure your server is updated.

Hey is it possible that the Francis Zoey Louis (Maybe Bill) can get an update.. An update that makes them use the valve models/animations and the millions and sound files that are already there (Just a thought)

Is there the possibility to play Versus, Scavenge and Survival with custom-models? I installed some custom-models but they only work in normal campain-mode. But I dont play campain mode very often... So I would really like to play every gamemodes with the custom-models, so that I never play Ellis, Rochelle, and so on, again. Is that possible?
