Introduction

This is widely known as probably the most time consuming achievement to unlock and while most of the challenges are self explanatory, we'll go through all of them and provide some quick tips and tricks to unlocking them as painlessly as possible.

If you're looking for a complete guide on all the achievements, head on over to my 100% achievement guide here: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=880538309
Challenges #1 - #13
Challenge #1 - 25 Nut Shots
You'll want to check your key bindings here, but under the melee option, that button will trigger your character to punch someone in the nuts. Both men and women count for the total.

Challenge #2 - 50 Grenade Kills
This one is simple - kill 50 enemies by using grenades. You'll probably get this through natural progression.

Challenge #3 - 300 Cars Destoryed
This one is simply - destroy 300 vehicles. You'll probably get this through natural progression. Keep in mind this only applies to land vehicles, not boats or aircraft, as those are listed seperately.

Challenge #4 - 60 Helicopters Destoryed
This one might take a bit of grinding. Trigger a high enough notoriety to spawn police helicopters, or with the Morningstar to trigger their specialty snipers. If you've already complited the game, rival gangs still appear, but some people say it is rare if at all. You can also grind these during the "Survival" challenges as well.

Challenge #5 - 25 Boats Destroyed
This one you might have to go out of your way to finish since none of the game really takes place in the water. If you go to Sunset Park and buy "Rodnini's Boat Dock" it will constantly spawn two different boats you can destory. They will respawn after a short while.

Challenge #6 - 25 Tanks Destoryed
Trigger a high police notoriety [level 5] to spawn tank crews. Kill 25 of them to finish this challenge.

Challenge #7 - 250 Carjackings
Simply carjack 250 vehicles - any vehicles. Easy stuff.

Challenge #8 - 200 Mascots Killed
Kill 200 mascots (any) to unlock this challenge. You can find them around Steelport, in Genki's challenges and during the Sad Panda DLC on the rooftops if you need to grind a few more out.

Challenge #9 - 18 Hoods Explored
By hoods, the game means all the locations in Steelport. You'll unlock this challenge as you naturally progress the game.

Challenge #10 - 50 Shortcuts Found
These can be tricky, especially in registering them, as the game sometimes doesn't register them properly, or credits you for a whole area which then gives you multiple ones at the same time. If you drive around enough you can unlock these naturally as well. If you're missing some, check this map below:

Challenge #11 - 600 Seconds Streaking
When you change clothes [or in this case, remove them all], click your action button [Default "E"] to start the streaking event. You'll want to run around near people to increase the clock and spend a total of 600 seconds to unlock this. It should be noted, you do not need to remove jewelry, armbands or glasses for it to trigger.

Challenge #12 - 5000ft Big Air Distance
Any air time you get while driving will earn you air distance. You can use anything that will ramp you in the air to earn points towards a total of 5,000 feet. It's cumulative, so you'll earn it over time.

Challenge #13 - 50 Gang Members Taughted
Check your hotkey for taunting and go taunt 50 different gang members. Saints gang members do not count towards the total.
Challenges #14 - #32
Challenge #14 - People Run Over
You'll probably earn this naturally. All you need to do is run over 500 people [anyone] during the course of playing to unlock this challenge.

Challenge #15 - Oncoming Lane Distance
This is another one you'll earn naturally, but if you're missing some distance, simply drive in the oncoming lane to rack of the meter. You'll need to drive 100,000 feet in total to unlock this one.

Challenge #16 - Wheelie Distance
You'll need a motorcycle for this, or if you're feeling extra special, a moped. Check your controls for under the vehicle section for your default or adjusted button for wheelies. Simply push and hold the button to do a wheelie. Remember to let go to complete the wheelie, otherwise you won't get credit for it if you crash. You'll need to do these for 10,000 feet to unlock this one.

Challenge #17 - Powerslide
You'll need to powerslide for a total of 300 seconds, which can be done in any land vehicle, but it is recommended with a fast vehicle. Get some speed, slam on the brakes and pull to one side to initiate the powerslide.

Challenge #18 - #20 Decker/Luchadore/Morningstar Specialists
Each gang has a specialist and you'll need to kill 50 of each one to unlock these challenges. The Morningstar's specialist come in their helicopter with sniper rifles, the Luchadores come with grenade launchers in a vehicle and the Deckers are the rollerblading females that drag behind their vehicles. It is advised to do these prior to completing chapter 3, as finding rival gangs becomes more difficult.

Challenge #21 - Near Misses
To achieve a near miss, simply drive next to, but don't hit, any vehicle while driving. It's a good one to work on while you drive on the opposite lane for that challenge. You'll need to complete 500 near misses for this one.

Challenge #22 - Windshield Cannon
This challenge can be fickle. You'll need to get a car [no motorcycles] and drive at a high rate of speed into something to launch yourself through the windshield. Sometimes it works, sometimes you'll just crash and stay in the vehicle. I've found rocks, guardrails and telephone poles work the best. You'll need 1,000 total feet to unlock it.

Challenge #23 - Car Torpedo Total Damage

Here you'll want a vehicle with some speed. Drive it into oncoming traffic and before impact, jump out and let the car continue on into other vehicles, people...etc. You'll need to have a total of 2,000 "damage" for this one.

Challenge - #24 Vehicle Mod Spending
Vehicle modifications - spend $20,000 on any kind of vehicle modifications. It's best to do this over ten or more cars so you unlock both this challenge and the achievement "The American Dream" for modding ten different vehicles.

Challenge #25 - Human Shields Used
Walk up to any person if you want to take them as a shield, hit your "action" key and you'll automatically do it. You can either quick kill them or throw them. You do not need to hold them for a specific amount of time. So use'em and lose'em!

Challenge #26 - Two-Wheel Distance
You might get this one without trying, but if you're looking to finish off the 2,500 feet of driving on two wheels, head over to any freeway and drive up on the sidewalls for an easy way to complete this challenge.

Challenge #27 - Multi-Kills
To earn 500 multi-kills, you'll need to kill multi enemies at once. It is best done by using explosives, especially the rocket launcher. Survival challenges and gang eliminations will net you a good source of these. Remember, this is for gang member kills, so no other multi-kills will count [cops, civilians].

Challenge #28 - No-Weapon Kills
No-weapon kills simply mean killing enemies with your bare hands. Drop the gloves and start throwing some right hooks to rack up the 25 needed kills to end this challenge.

Challenge #29 - Stoppie Distance
Much like the wheelie challenge, you'll need to perform stoppies, which mean stopping on the front tire and pulling up on the back. Hold down your stoppie button on any motorcycle and put it in reverse to perform one. You'll need to do this for 1,000 feet to earn this challenge.

Challenge - #30 - Compliments Paid
Use your compliment button in front of 50 different Saints Row gang members to unlock this challenge. Pretty straight forward stuff for this one. You can tell when it works by the gang member giving you a cheer, dancing or clapping depending on your compliment.

Challenge - #31 - Gang Ops Defeated
These are the gang operations highlighted on your map as a fist with a pink background. There are 32 to do and can be found in the following locations. Do note that the one marked in yellow is only accessible by aircraft.

Challenge - #32 - Emus Destroyed
These subcompact cars can be found throughout Steelport, so keep an eye out for them. Blow up 50 of them to complete this challenge. If you're having a hard time finding them, a good trick is to save one in your garage and blow it up 50 times.

Challenges #33 - #41
Challenge #33 - Kill Brutes
You'll more than likely unlock this one naturally during normal play. If you're still missing some kills, aggrivate any rival gangs until their brutes show up and then put them down. You'll need to kill 30 for this challenge.

Challenge #34 - Headshots
Put down 500 gang members with surgically placed headshots. Simple enough.

Challenge #35 - Stores Robbed
Rob any 15 stores in Steelport for this one. Simply walk into the store, aim your gun(s) at the cashier and hold the crosshairs on them until the alarm goes off. Rinse and repeat.

Challenge #36 - Vehicle Surfing Time
You need to "surf" on a moving vehicle for a total of 600 seconds to finish this challenge. Just jump on any moving vehicle and click the action button to start surfing. Hold it as long as you can, but don't worry about falling, it'll still count towards the total.

Challenge #37 - Basejumps Nailed
Complete 15 base jumps to finish this challenge. Pick any high-rise building, jump off, hit your action button once to open your parachute and again to activate the basejump. Landing anywhere in the purple flares will score you one towards your goal.

Challenge #38 - Stag Commandos Killed
This one is best done prior to finishing the game. When you get to the point that Stag enters the story, rack of a high notoriety with them by killing some of their troops. Eventually Stag Commandos will start to appear. Kill 50 of them for this challenge.

Challenge #39 - Distance Travelled
This one will take some work after beating the game. I'd leave this one as the very last thing you do, as it counts all water, air and ground travel you do over the whole playthrough. You'll need a staggering 2,500,000 feet of distance to finish this, but if you're gunning for 100% completion, you'll be pretty close to this by the time you have to do it.

Challenge #40 - Hostages Taken
Here you'll need to find a vehicle with at least two passengers. Carjack the vehicle and quickly press your action key when prompted to start the hostage negotiations. You don't need to keep them long, so once you trigger it, get out and find some more. Each passenger counts as a hostage, so make sure to keep an eye out for a party of four. You'll need to take 50 passengers hostage.

Challenge #41 - Survival Completed
Randomly during the game you'll be called to kill certain people, initiating a survival mode. You'll have to defend yourself against several waves of them in order to complete them. These can easily be triggered while on foot only. Answer the phone call, go to the location and start killing. These cannot be activated while in any kind of vehicle. You'll be called 26 times and have to complete them all for this challenge.

Challenge #22 - Windshield Cannon
"I found the solustion! you need to start fraud activity! then you are more likely to fly out of the window when hit"

I flew out of my car 100% of the time during the fraud activity, great tip Woken Warrior!

This "You're My Hero" achievement sure is a real pita and time consuming achievement to get.

Don't know if anyone suggested it before, but destroying 50 emus is easier by going along the road from 3rd Count- at least one will be parked near the sidewalk and more will be driving.

if you use the plane with the guns and rockets and crash into a radio tower on any building you can get a lot of windsheild cannon distance

@BigBadBootyPrianik - Yeah, I never could get it to work reliably. You just have to drive into things like you're drunk and hope for the best.
