Introduction
Due to personal reasons, I've discontinued updating this and every other guide I created in the pixel art series.

I apologize for the inconvinience, but I simply lost interest in the Steam Artwork community years ago and moved on with my life. If you would like to take over this guide series, don't hesitate to add me here (with a comment please so I know the topic!) and we can discuss how to go forward.

This guide was updated properly for the last time some time in 2018, so expect many links to be null and void.

As we all know, there are many great guides on the greatest wallpapers in Steam. Unfortunately, a lot of them have little or no good pixel art in them. So this guide will be dedicated to pointing out the best pixel art backgrounds on Steam. Small pixels, big pixels, you name it, pixel art only.

If you have a pixel art wallpaper that isn't added here, just comment and I'll have a look if it's suitable to be added. I'll have categories for those that I think are clean to be animated on with pixel art, while those who are blurry or not "clean" will have their own "Not clean" - category.

Some backgrounds may be showed twice due to them being fitting in multiple categories at the same time (eg. nightly theme and best drawn with outlines only), and if there are multiple variants of the wallpaper (day, sunset, night) they will all be shown together under the same category, even if they were better in another category.

I'll be updating the guide every now and then.
