Loki - God of Appearance and Skill

Description
NOTICE - if when you first go to the bannered mare to talk to loki he won't talk to you, leave the bannered mare, then come back in. He will then talk to you.

On Nexus - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=18087

Have you ever gotten bored while playing Skyrim with how your character looks? Have you ever wanted to raise a skill 5 points to get to that next group of spells, or the next perk? I give you Loki Manadagr. His name carries with it change with the day of the moon. (Manadagr means moon day from Norse)

You can find Loki In the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.

This gives the player the ability to change appearance, and level skills in game freely through an NPC. useful for playtesting and when you want to make a new character but dont want to start at level 1, yet don't feel comfortable with console commands. This mod will not conflict with any other mods.

Notes from Game Informer - issue 231
----------------------------------
[quoted under fair use copyright law]
""The ability to change your character's face was something that came up often in fan feedback," says Carofano. In response to those requests, Dawnguard adds a character hidden down in the Rayway of Riften who can alter your appearance. Race and gender are still locked, but you can tweak your other facial features in case your hero doesn't look as awesome as you initially thought." page 59

Loki will continue to enable you to change ALL aspects of your character, and works on custom races. I'll have him be the other NPC's mentor because the other NPC doesn't provide the ability to change as much.

Developer Notes
---------------------

I do NOT use EVENT OnRaceSwitchComplete(), which avoids any issues with werewolf or other modded transformations. Some players will receive a level after using the race menu. I've not discerned why. This does not effect, change, or reset any quests.

NOTICE: works on ALL custom races to date.

June 16th resolved issues with Loki not appearing in the Bannered Mare. You'll find him there now when starting a new game or continuing from a save.

It's impossible for me to interact with the npc. Some help please?

Thanks for the reply. I do hope you are getting better. I have seen with family how debilitating strokes can be and it says good things that you can read and reply to messages. Many wishes for further recovery!

I will give the mod a try and let you know how it goes. If it has conflicts in my game and I can identify them, I'll let you know that too.

@Alliecienti - this mod goes far beyond what the lady in Ragged Flagon does. However, I've not been able to support this mod for years. I've had two strokes. I hope to eventually be able to support this mod again.

I have a conflict with that facechanger lady in the Ragged Flagon. If I actually have her try to change my face, it's CTG time EVERYTIME. I finally just talked to her after becomming a vampire and that completed the acheivement for me on it but I even after that and no longer vampiric in a new character and still the same. I'm sure its some sort of conflict with the appearance mods I have installed which are only a few but they make people look good in my game.

Does this mod work the same as her or shoould I just give it a whirl and see what the hell happens? I experiment with mods that interest me and am used to CTg happening for my efforts so I can go back and remove the offender and find another similar mod that works in my lineup.

I do like the idea of being able to change my character appearance.. maybe tweak it a little here and there as I level up so that's why I'm asking.

My dad's friend also had a stroke about 2 years ago. He doesnt even remember who my father is now. It's really sad. He forgot that he used to work for the same company and everyone in it. He also has slurred speech. If you dont get around to the mod I and others would understand. Please take care of yourself and eat and sleep right! I'll be praying for you.

It's been really hard for me to focus on programming. I used to create a lot of the object structures in my mind, which I can't do very well anymore. My strokes happened back at the end of 2012 and in 2013. I've been living with the effects since. I also have some traits now of autistism, in that I deal with the sensory overload like an autistic person must. It's part of why I have a hard time focusing.

dude you had a stroke? Omg man I'm so sorry. I wish you all the best in your recovery. Your mod was awesome but take your time. God bless!

@Bersaglieri - It's been a while since I've updated this. However, I do plan to eventually update it because plenty of people play skyrim still, and probably will at least for another decade considering how long it's been since Oblivion release, and people still play that. It's a huge challenge for me to do, since I had my strokes. You can check out more on my website http://hellcat5.com/
