SET for Halloween (Non-Dawnguard Edition)

Description
The horrifying Halloween hit now doesn't need any DLC!
This edition of the petrifyingly popular mod doesn't require Dawnguard. It turns Skyrim into a horror show, with flaming jack-o-lanterns, and tons of spine-chilling scenery and creepy clutter. But wait! There's more: It transforms guards and shopkeepers into ghosts, vampires and the like. There are terrifying treats people eat (like bloody severed hands!) and even draugr are more dreadful, as many now appear burnt or bloody. For some examples of changes to items and actors, see the screenshots, or read What's Changed, below.

❖ Dawnguard NOT Required
SET (Skyrim Encounters and Themes) for Halloween (Nod-Dawnguard Edition) doesn't require the Dawnguard DLC. Please consider rating the mod if you appreciate my releasing a non-DLC edition. I might add features, or continue to make non-DLC editions in the future, if this one does well enough.

❖ Dawnguard Edition Available
The Dawnguard edition of this mod has more features. You may find it HERE.

❖ Disable Whenever You Want
The mod is completely safe. No changes are permanent. Disable it at any time and the Skyrim "nightmare" ends. All architecture, clutter, food and NPCs return to normal. Change your mind? Simply enable it again, and the "nightmare" returns! See Disabling or Unsubscribing From the Mod below. You should unsubscribe from last year's SET Halloween mod before using this one.

WHAT'S CHANGED

❖ More Monsters
Now you'll encounter more than one kind of draugr in the game's dark dungeons. Along side the normal draugr, you'll also find bloody draugr, who are bathed in blood from head to toe. And the new burnt draugr are completely scorched over every inch of their bodies, but they still keep coming! If there is continued interest in this mod, I'll add more new monsters, such as ghost, frozen and invisible draugr, and give each one unique powers to make them an even greater challenge.

❖ Beastly Braziers with Jack-O-Lanterns
Whiterun, Whiterun Hold towers and vampire strongholds are now lit with carved pumpkins in each brazier. The Jack-o-lanterns flicker with an eerie glow.

❖ Creepy Clutter
Throughout Skyrim you will find skull candles; and cooking pots with slimy or bloody skulls and severed hands; and bloody wood cutting axes, pickaxes, buckets and more.

❖ Frightening Food and Ingredients
Cannibalism is not just for Markarth any more! In every tavern, and at many a campfire, dining table and kitchen, you will see citizens cooking human body parts, eating severed hands, and drinking from blood-filled goblets. The sweet rolls and nut treats even have eyeballs! All of these you may buy and eat yourself.

❖ Ghastly Guards
Many of the guards of of Skyrim's towns and holds are transformed into monsters of various kinds. In Whiterun at night, ghost guards haunt the streets. By day, any Whiterun guard might transform into a werewolf if provoked. After midnight, vampire guards inhabit Solitude. Start a fight with them, and they'll use their vampiric drain spell as well as their sword to take you down. Solitude guards in the jail, Blue Palace and patrolling the streets by day are now dressed as executioners and wielding executioner axes. In Morthal, day or night, the guards are all vampires.

❖ Scary Citizens
In Whiterun, the shopkeepers are changed, too. Arcadia the alchemist is a witch, which you might guess from her witch hat. Threaten her, and you might get burned--by her spells! Belethor is now one ugly vampire, with spells and powers of the race--an appropriate fit for his ghoulish humor, don't you think? Ulfberth The blacksmith is what any good Nord of Whiterun would like to be, a werewolf. Don't make him angry--you might not like him when he's angry! Outside Whiterun, Solitude, Dawnstar and Windhelm you'll find vampire khajiits selling their wears. Their freakishly long teeth give them away. Whiterun has the Headless Horsecart Man as a carriage driver. He drives an evil black steed, with glowing red eyes. The Solitude carriage driver is now dressed in an executioner's outfit and has an executioner's axe.

❖ Startling Scenery
The waters of Whiterun run red with blood! Sawmills, wood chopping blocks and other items are splattered with blood.

FireSpitter: No one has reported this. Possibly an update to another mod besides this one. Please take a screen shot of one and let me know when you've uploaded it to Steam, so I can look at it.

Excellent mod, however I have an unusual bug which means blue glowing buckets show up all over the place, is this a known bug?

For now, on the Skyrim launch screen, select Data Files and remove the checkmark next to this mod. Load a save. Fast travel away from Whiterun. Fast travel back. Challenge the actor to a fight. He should now stay human. After finishing the quest, add the checkmark to the mod, again.

Hawkconstsntine: Thank you. I can disable the werewolf change during that quest.

Love the mod. Just one little glitch. Got a companion quest to go fight the guy in warmaidens, he turns into a werewolf, that can kill you, and if you are able to defeat him, you end up killing him and failing the quest.
