Type R Glass

Description
This mod replaces the vanilla windows (and any existing windows) with a set whose interior skybox reflection has been removed.

(DX9 & DX11) G-Menu and Survival ready. Large blocks are airtight; working on getting the build stages to not be.

Is this supposed to be clear with no tint or has it been broken by an update?

My mistake, the latest update changed the color of all glass. Could you make a mod to return it to the dark black we used to have?

Thanks for letting me know about the inssues with the new updates! I think the color and reflections are toned back to a reasonable level.

As far as the <IsAirtight> tag, it works by essentially ignoring the shape of your block and dealing with it as if it were a solid cube (or rectangular shape for 1x2 etc.). That means no air passes through it. It also means that if you're inside the bounding box of a window using it, there is no oxygen either.

That's how these items are set up, and consequently why the build states are also airtight. You cannot give a modded block buildstate an airtight tag, it just uses whatever tag the completed block has.

The vanilla blocks do not have either of these limitations, and it's unclear why / how they are different. This is the reason I've been putting off adding any blocks of a non-vanilla shape, as they would all have these issues. I am hopeful that Keen's new approach to community responses will help some of this get cleared up.

While I love being able to see out my Bridge windows again after the latest update put reflections way over the top, the outsides of my windows are now blue, instead of dark, like car window tinting.

@ergthbeb I think the fix is simple as Tristavius, author of TVSI-Tech Diamond Bonded Glass did say this at his mod comments: "I can also confirm that some window components are not compatible with the new oxygen system. This is due to a new 'air tight' tag being added to the game - all mods involving certain shaped components will be incompatible until changed. The good news is that it can be fixed easily and I will be doing so shortly!"

@Hellsteel Thanks for the info, i havent playesdince the O2 update. Maybe my collision meshes are a pixel off or so. Didn't so much matter before...

With the update adding oxygen and pressurization, I noticed while trying to pressurize Red 1 to try the system, at least 1x1 sloped windows "leak" and let the oxygen out for some reason. Without this mod active, the windows keep oxygen in the ship. Only this mod is active currently in my test world after discovery and going to check through other mods with windows and maybe doors. Maybe something Keen added to their vanilla windows/doors this to occur?

Is it possible to have windows that are placed in the center of the block and not at the edges?
MindCozy  [author] 5 Nov, 2014 @ 3:08pm
I have new blocks (1x3 windows) which I am adding to my other mods, however I am unsure if it should be included in this mod, as there is no vanilla equivalent. Should I include it here? Would it be more tedious to have a seperate mod just for two new window types? Also, I had made this mod with performance primarily in mind. Has it been helpful in that? Feedback is good, or upvote if you like it!

I can most certainly make an interior window with reflections as well!
