Is a skin bussines, for Valve and for individuals who know how to make some profit
I have also play c.strike Source ( have 50 $ k. achievement completed ) and c.strike 1.6 where i meet a lot of people who care to play the game, not to waste money with in-game painted guns

They did that, because most of the competitors do and its hard to compete against free to play.
About the prices... dude its your decision if you want to pay that price or not. And yes with 500 you could buy a real gun (depends where you live), you could buy a supreme shirt or you can buy a fancy csgo knive.
