By Lambda
Welcome to the Unofficial Elithian Races Handbook! I hope you find what you're looking for here.
Feel free to ask questions, I will answer them if I can.

Please note the guide is mostly intended for Avikan (or Droden) characters.

An update is currently in progress. Some information may be outdated or not present at all.

Getting Started
First thing's first, you're going to need the mod itself.

Step One: Go to the Elithian Races Workshop Page, and click the green button labeled Subscribe. This will automatically install the mod. If you are already in-game, restart your game for the mod to apply.

Step Two: Install a Character Menu Extender, such as XBawk's Character Extender, This is required if you want to play as one of the races added by the mod.

Step Three (Optional): Create a character using the mod.

Now, assuming you chose to play as an Avikan (or Droden), you're going to want to craft an Avikan Workman's Table. You might be wondering, "How do I get these new materials?" Assuming you are wondering that, the answer is...

In the next section of this guide.
Hunting
So, these new materials, how do you get them? Well it's simple, you - violently slaughter every animal you come across - Carefully hunt the wildlife of a planet with specific weapons.

These weapons being...

Hunting spears, hunting knives, hunting bows and a harpoon gun.

You start off with a hunting knife, located in your ship's locker. This is a quick, low-damage weapon, best used for finishing off wounded enemies, rather than as a main weapon.

Killing creatures with weapons in the Hunting category will greatly increase the chance of them dropping bones or hide.

Creatures on planets with a higher Fauna threat level will drop higher grade bones.
Rarely, any creature can drop a Legendary Monster Bone. These are used for some crafting bench upgrades, and for a quest.

I haven't confirmed if this is from the Elithian Races Mod, but I have obtained several wearable skulls from hunting. These skulls provide no armor, but instead provide the Feral buff, which boosts melee damage.
Basic Crafting Benches
So, you've got the materials now, it's time to get to work.

First bench you'll need is the Avikan's Workman Table, this can be crafted in the same menu as the Inventor's Table.

The Avikan Workman's table is essential for crafting the rest of the benches the mod provides, and is the Avikan equivalent of the Inventor's Table. It also contains EPPs and Beacons for guards, these are a decorative item that will increase the quality of a Guard, if one would spawn in that room, when a Colony Deed is placed.
(For example, the Tier 6 beacon will generate a guard with Clanguard gear.)

The following list will provide a brief description of all Tier One benches.

1. The Avikan Bonecarver's Table
This bench allows you to craft a variety of items made of bone, including furniture, weapons and armor. It also has a few leather items such as leather bandages.

2. The Avikan Cooking Plate
This station allows you to craft prepared foods, like the Kadavan Meal. Not much else to say.

3. The Avikan Stone Furnace
This one lets you craft Kavanite and Dranite, aswell as Avikan glass, dyes, circuitry, and other things.
You cannot craft normal metal bars or glass or paper here.

4. The Avikan Tanning Rack
This lets you craft Monster Leather, Tough String, and leather furniture or blocks.

5. The Droden Frame Workshop
You can craft Droden armor here.

(Wow I said the word This alot there.)

Lastly, you can craft a Starfarer's Teleporter here. It is one-way, and cannot be picked back up after being placed.

It will take you to...

The Starfarer's Refuge
The Starfarer's Refuge acts as the Avikan equivalent of the Outpost. It can be reached in two ways.

You can craft a Starfarer's Teleporter, which is a one-way teleporter that will take you straight there.

Or you can find an Avikan ship or settlement. Avikan ships and settlements will often contain a Starfarer's Teleporter.

The Starfarer's Refuge has many traders and services. If you're an Avikan or Droden character, you can bring your Watcher's Offices Pass to the terminal up the platforms to the right of the teleporter to begin the Avikan main questline. We'll talk more about that later.

Below is a list of traders and services that can be found on the Refuge.

The Nomada Translocator Store
This store sells various teleporters, like the Two-Stop-Teleshop on the Outpost. There is also a teleporter next to it that is free to use.

The Nomada Token Exchange
Here you can trade Avikan Gifts, or materials like Monster Bones, for tokens of merit.
You can also use tokens of merit to purchase materials here.

Lost & Found
This lad will sell you any unique cosmetics, weapons or other items that you've found for a high price.
Useful if you, say, misplaced the Watcher's Offices Key.

Produce Merchant, Clothing Merchant, Bone Weapons Merchant, Water Merchant
This lot will sell you a variety of items, including water storage and typical Avikan clothing.

Droden Equipment Merchant
This one'll sell you Droden-themed cosmetics, such as the Heavy War Frame. He also sells Inactive Droden, which are required for Droden Tenants.

Ayurin's Weapon Workshop
Here you can purchase various Avikan weapon blueprints. He also provides a quest for an Avikan Crafting Guide, which will unlock all Avikan craftables regardless of your race. This guide also grants Droden characters access to Avikan armor.

Droden Legion Terminal
You can purchase Droden crewmembers here for 75 tokens of merit each. They come in four flavors. Soldier, Mechanic, Medic and Engineer.

Valyan's Vehicle Workshop
Vehicles can be repaired here at the cost of Auto Chips.

Starsight Inn Bar
They sell food here. Not sure what else you'd expect.

Mysterious Merchant
This one... I can't say much about him for legal reasons, but he'll sell you some of the fancier gadgets the galaxy's got to offer.

The Drifter's Emporium
The Drifter's Emporium offers a variety of rare items, from Centensian scrap to important quest-items. To access it, go to the highest level of the Starfarer's Refuge and look for a pile of crates under a hatch. Using a Sphere tech, navigate through the pipes to reach the Emporium.

Jahkar's Licensed Vehicles
Vehicles, both decorative and functional, can be purchased here. You will need a License first though for the drivable ones. Auto chips, Jumpgate Cores and Transmitters can be found here too.

So, how do you get a license then?

End of Guide
Thanks for reading my first guide! I hope you found what you were looking for, I intend to update this as I find more information about the mod.

If you know something I don't, feel free to tell me so I can see to adding it to the guide.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them! I will try to get you an answer as fast as I can.

Lastly, if there's any incorrect info, or important details that were left out of the guide, please tell me. I'll see to correcting the issue when I can.

One last thing I want to say,
I'll be working on rebuilding this guide some day to correct some info, and to add stuff about the Aegi and all that.
Every section will be re-written and I will no longer be including stats/descriptions of generic weapons other than types added by the mod, such as Jumpcannons and Linerifles. And even then, only one from each type as an example of the weapon.
