Prolog
"Shroud Rising" is a renowned Stellaris mod that plunges players into the mysteries of the Shroud. Delve into its depths to uncover ancient secrets and face cosmic dangers. Navigate through ethereal realms, where every encounter unveils new enigmas. But tread carefully, for dark forces lurk within, testing your resolve. Will you harness the Shroud’s power or succumb to its ominous embrace? Embark on this thrilling adventure and rewrite the fate of the galaxy!



Since an update was sorely missed and to keep this legendary mod alive in the annals of Stellaris, I did a patch to LastLeviathan’s excellent Shroud Rising mod.



Behold, this patch be but a spectral whisper, a mere echo in the ethereal expanse of the Shroud. A fledgling specter yet to find its true form. Tread lightly, for the mists of uncertainty cloak its every move. Changes shall materialize like phantoms, shifting and swirling in the aether.

Embrace the ephemeral nature of our journey, for the Shroud is a realm of constant flux. Expect the unexpected, as the very fabric of reality bends to our will. Your feedback, dear voyager, is the beacon that guides us through this shadowy labyrinth.

So, gather your courage and venture forth into the unknown. Within the depths of the Shroud, mysteries abound, waiting to be unraveled by intrepid souls such as yourselves. Together, let us pierce the veil and uncover the secrets that lie beyond. 🌌



NOTE: This is a patch, so you still need the (latest) original mod (3.8 - detailed instructions there). - even though it should be obvious, I have to mention this…

Yes, after a lot of testing it seems this mod is behind the crashing whenever i try to load into a new empire save. Hoping you'll find the time for it

It will definitely need to be thoroughly revised when the DLC that will revise the psionic path comes out and anything could happen

@xXDaBossModzXx: there is no desc needed (people don't read the desc anyway). There is no load order needed, as the descriptor.mod has the original mod included and the game chose the right load order automatically.

@Fahrenheit-Os: unfortunately, I'll let this patch legacy and I'll not go to v4.0.

Hi. Can you update the description to include the recommended load order? I may have it down, but I'm sure that lots of other people would like to know this to help prevent crashes

Hey, thanks you for upfated this mod !!

Got an issue that I also found on the original mod comment section :
"I'm not blaming this mod, but just letting you know there seems to be some incompartbilty with GIgas or ACOT (probably the latter, I also have secrets of the shroud), A the Eye did not spawn naturally, B) FE kepts declaring crisis wars on everyone for no reason. Also rifts kepts spawning after the Eye was closed... Be careful with long modlists, y'all"

Tried the game with Shroud rising only, this mod loaded after the original and had the same issue + no star switching to black holes in the rifted systems, only the same stars with a darker shade.

The original mod description states "Events are broken if using mods that allow you to be new country types such as an ascended Empire." Is this still the case? Or with this patch is the mod now compatible with other mods like Dawn of Ascension?
